The solutions IBM CloudBurst integrating computing systems, storage resources, network equipment, means of virtualization and the software for management of services are intended for creation of private environments of "cloud computing". By estimates of IBM, CloudBurst allows to reduce labor costs by integration, resource allocation and management of storage for 95% in comparison with manual configuring of a similar system.

The IBM CloudBurst v2.1 on Power Systems device based on the IBM Power 750 servers can support from 160 to 2900 virtual machines and store data of applications separately for increased security. By estimates of IBM, cost reduction at deployment of private environments of "cloud computing" based on the Power systems, in comparison with use separate x86 servers, can make 70%. At the same time, CloudBurst v2.1 on Power Systems provides the certified platform for accomplishment of SAP applications.

At the same time, the new version of IBM CloudBurst v2.1 on System x based on a blade servers of IBM HS22V offers 50% more memory and twice big capacity of fiber optic channels, than the previous version and also supports accomplishment of 30 and more virtual machines on one blade server, claim in IBM. This solution optimized under specific workloads allows clients to increase computing resources, adding nodes with payment on the actual use.

Key component of solutions is the newest development of IBM in the field of autonomous calculations - the software of IBM Service Delivery Manager allowing to unroll quickly applications thanks to automation of problems of deployment, monitoring and administration of services of "cloud computing". Software of IBM Service Delivery Manager based on the integrated software package for the x86 and Power systems can be purchased separately from the equipment that gives to clients an opportunity to use already available systems of IBM or other suppliers at deployment of solutions for "cloud computing". The software package includes a set of the virtual images providing automation of deployment of IT services, monitoring and resource allocation, cost management in the environment of "cloud computing".

The IBM CloudBurst v2.1 on System x device and software of IBM Service Delivery Manager for x86 systems are already available to acquisition. Sales of the solution IBM CloudBurst v2.1 on Power Systems and software of IBM Service Delivery Manager for the Power systems will begin on December 17, 2010.
