2020: IBM Cloud Pak for Integration

According to information for November, 2020 IBM Cloud Pak for Integration provides support of high-speed performance, flexibility and scaling, necessary for all projects of integration and digital transformation. It is possible to solve with its help quicker a problem of integration and to reduce costs. Along with it it is possible to solve some other relevant tasks: react to customer expectations and trends in the market due to ensuring the personalized customer interaction and offers with a geographical binding, sendings notifications in real time and reductions of time of reaction in all aspects of work.

IBM Cloud Pak for Integration contains necessary functionality, including management of lifecycle of API, message exchange and reaction to events in real time, high-speed data transmission and security. Besides, the solution allows to build flexibly balance between integration components, adapting to the current business needs of the company.

The area manager of an ecosystem of partners (IBM Partner Ecosystem) of IBM corporation Barbora Paulovich-Dekerova told on MERLION IT Solutions Summit in September, 2019 about new technologies for cloud transformation, in particular, about Cloud Packs [1] (in more detail).

On August 1, 2019 the IBM company announced transformation of the portfolio of software products which is intended for cloud environments now and is optimized for work on the Red Hat OpenShift platform (read about it also in article.

According to the statement of IBM, the opportunities focused on work in a cloud will be provided in the form of the integrated solutions which received the general name IBM Cloud Paks. Given software, certified by IBM and having a container format, will provide the general operational model and a uniform set of services, including management of identification, security, monitoring and maintaining magazines and also the improved visibility and control in a cloud environment thanks to the unified and intuitive control panel.

According to the developer, packets of the Cloud Paks family provide a full support of the software and protect all stack (from hardware to applications), helping customers to execute quickly migration, integration and upgrade of crucial applications in any cloud environment. They represent easily unrolled packets focused on the characteristic fields of use and will be on a pricing model upon consumption.

For August, 2019 the first five packets of IBM Cloud Paks are available:

• Cloud Pak for Data is intended for simplification and automation of analytical processing by the organizations of the data and provides the opened and expanded architecture for virtualization of data for the artificial intelligence (AI) six times faster.
• Cloud Pak for Applications using which the companies can upgrade, create, unroll and run applications. It allows to receive economy to 84% of time of development.
• Cloud Pak for Integration allows to integrate applications, data, cloud services and the API interfaces. The packet integrates data and applications three times faster one third cheaper.
• Cloud Pak for Automation allows to transform business processes, decision making process and content. So, according to IBM the customer from the banking sector reduced dependence on manual processes by 80%.
• Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management provides monitoring of a multicloud environment, management with it and automation. The packet allows to reach economy of operating costs up to 75%.
