2019: Start of the portal

On July 16, 2019 IBM started the portal with free data sets for machine learning in the company. The company calls IBM Data Asset eXchange (DAX) the unique project for corporate clients, despite presence at the Internet (for example, on GitHub) a large number of open data arrays.

As declare in IBM, DAX is a collection of "carefully selected free and open data sets" which are delivered with "accurately certain licenses". All records and metadata are provided in the standardized format therefore it is simpler to use them for a training of algorithms of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

The analyst Doug Henschen from Constellation Research announced the SiliconANGLE edition that the data sets offered IBM nevertheless should be checked by developers as they need to be convinced of compliance to certain environments. In general the expert praised this project.

In  a repository of DAX it is possible to meet unique  data arrays which use in IBM and  IBM Research: for example, Finance Proposition Bank and  Contracts Proposition Bank intended for improvement of a natural language understanding by solutions of IBM.

IBM positions DAX as addition to  IBM Model Asset eXchange (MAX) storage in which data processing specialists and  developers can receive free models of machine and  deep learning  open source.

IBM wants to facilitate use of data of DAX and MAX in a combination to the AI products and also hybrid and multicloud tools, said in the blog of the company.[1]
