IBM PureFlex System integrates computing resources, storage systems, network connections, means of virtualization and management in the single infrastructure system having expert knowledge in the field of assessment and forecasting of resource requirements that promotes optimization of infrastructure.

The guaranteed open compatibility is built in the existing data processing center using a set of the products of IBM which are working with networks and with data storage, having a high integration scale and supporting the standard protocols adopted in the industry:

- compatibility of storage systems with EMC, HP, Hitachi and NetApp
- network compatibility with Cisco, Brocade and Juniper Networks
- Flex System Manager is integrated into the available platforms of management and supports the integrated systems management of storage of IBM DS8000 and IBM XIV
