2024: APS Service Presentation

The IBS Group has developed a digital Advanced Manufacturing Planning and Graphics (APS) service for in-line enterprises such as beverage, industrial and household chemicals, cosmetics, technical oils, and the like.

The service solves the problem of automatically calculating the optimal production schedule, can be integrated with ERP and MES systems and has basic functionality for setting up a production planning model.

The service is most in demand at enterprises with high variability of technological processes, a large number of nomenclatures, significant time and material costs for reconfiguring equipment when changing the manufactured product.

The service is based on a set of optimization algorithms developed by IBS, which allows you to automatically create an optimal operational production plan for a given volume and schedule of shipments, taking into account technological, production, resource and logistics restrictions.

The service allows business users to independently, without IT specialists, change the production planning model, manage planning parameters, quickly create and compare scenarios of production plans, including taking into account current changes.

Seamless integration with "1C:ERP" makes it possible to work with the service from the standard ERP user interface. The planning horizon is not limited and the system can be used for operational, tactical and medium-term planning.

The main functionality includes:

  • automatic formation of an optimal operational production schedule (in-shift detailing up to 1-minute intervals) taking into account significant technological, resource and commercial limitations;
  • selection of various optimization criteria: minimization of process losses, maximization of production volumes, security of priority orders; marginality of nomenclature;
  • Scenario production planning, taking into account the change in the initial factors: availability of raw materials, availability of equipment, change in orders and their priorities;
  • Automatic recalculation of operational plans when the planning parameters are changed
  • High rate of calculation of plans (minutes).

The introduction of IBS APS service reduces the actual cost of production by reducing technological losses, for example, during adjustments, increasing revenue and margin by improving customer service and increasing production volume as a result of increasing the overall efficiency of production lines, reducing planning labor costs and reducing dependence on the human factor.

IBS has created an APS solution for in-line production, which has great potential for further development of functionality. The IBS APS service is a completely domestic development and can become a full-fledged alternative in the context of import substitution of Western software. The presence of its own APS solution allows IBS to offer customers a quick pilot implementation and confirmation of economic effects, "said Andrey Kuzmishchev, an expert at the IBS management consulting department.
