End-to-end NVMe implementation of Multipath-enabled architecture
ITPOD has implemented a full End-to-end NVMe architecture with Multipath support in the ITPOD Storage Full Flash line of storage systems. This provided access to the network NVMe Namespace and efficient resource allocation between hosts and controllers. Solutions have become the basis of architecture with high fault tolerance, flexible resource management and maximum performance of corporate IT infrastructures. ITPod announced this on October 22, 2025.
NVMe Namespace is a separate block device inside a pool of NVMe drives, which the consumer's operating system sees as a separate disk. In the ITPOD Storage architecture, such devices act as the Storage Unit, a unified block resource model. Depending on the communication protocol, the Storage Unit is implemented as NVMe Namespace (NVMe/TCP) or LUN (iSCSI). This approach ensures efficient resource allocation between servers and applications, and allows you to set individual performance parameters and access policies.
Multipathing is a key element of the ITPOD Storage architecture, providing simultaneous use of multiple network routes to access data. Such an organization increases throughput and eliminates downtime when individual connections fail. If one of the paths is unavailable, the system automatically redirects traffic along alternative routes, while maintaining application continuity.
ITPOD Storage systems use the Active-Active controller architecture and Asymmetric Namespace Access (ANA) mechanism, which ensures service continuity. Each controller maintains its own Storage Unit, and can take on the load of the neighbor in case of failures or changes in the state of routes. ANA manages access paths by automatically selecting the optimal data transmission directions and maintaining stable performance even in abnormal situations.
The development of NVMe protocols and Multipathing technologies forms a new foundation for enterprise storage. We create an architecture that can maintain high levels of availability and efficiency without constant administrator intervention. ITPOD Storage systems automatically select the optimal access paths, increase the stability of services and adapt to real operating scenarios, - said Ilya Bornyakov, CEO of ITPOD.
Prepare ITPOD Storage DSS for data protection in natural and man-made disasters
The Russian vendor of Enterprise IT solutions, ITPOD part of the ITG corporation, has prepared DSS ITPOD Storage for preservation data protection in accidents data centers and natural disasters. The company announced this on April 30, 2025. Disaster tolerance is provided by built-in synchronous and asynchronous replication mechanisms, as well as support for metro configurations, which guarantees safety data and continuity business processes even in large-scale accidents.
Unlike standard fault tolerance, which is sufficient for local failures, ITPOD Storage disaster tolerance ensures that the infrastructure is operational in case of critical incidents: data center failure, physical destruction, fires or prolonged power outages.
Synchronous replication allows you to instantly duplicate data between two sites, which is critical for 24/7 services. Asynchronous replication provides minimal latency even over long distances, optimizing link load. Metro configurations combine two data centers into a single system: if one fails, work automatically continues on the other without downtime and data loss.
We have created a solution that not only minimizes the risks of data loss, but also prevents losses from downtime of business processes. ITPOD Storage is robust protection for critical infrastructures, whether it's finance, telecommunications or the public sector. Our architecture guarantees continuity even in severe disasters, "said Ilya Bornyakov, CEO of ITPOD, ITG Corporation.
VAS Experts DPI SCAT compatibility
ITPOD and VAS Experts continue to increase cooperation through a technology partnership. Cooperation between the two companies will make it possible to create compatible, deeply integrated and effectively complementary solutions that expand the functionality and technological capabilities of both vendors. VAS Experts announced this on February 10, 2025. Integration of ITPOD Storage Full Flash and Hybrid storage systems (DSS) for the Quality of Experience (QoE) analytics module with SCAT DPI was carried out . Read more here.
2024: NVMe over TCP DSS View
On November 11, 2024, ITPOD introduced its own line of storage systems (DSS) with support for the NVMe over TCP protocol. ITPOD Storage completely replaces foreign counterparts and is suitable for both small and large companies.
The DSS range from ITPOD includes the Full Flash and Hybrid series. The Full Flash series is based on fast and reliable NVMe SSDs. These DSS are ideal for companies working with vast amounts of data, analytics, cloud technologies, and other information systems that require rapid disk response and stable operation under heavy loads.
Hybrid hybrid models are presented to solve typical problems, which provide storage and access to information of various information systems and applications. Systems are widely used in virtualization, and are also suitable for connecting LUNs directly to dedicated servers. Hybrid DSS enable companies to optimize infrastructure utilization and reduce costs.
All systems have a dual-controller architecture that provides performance and fault tolerance. Internal protection mechanisms and the use of non-volatile memory (NVRAM) ensure that data is safe from damage and loss, even in the event of a power failure.
The ITPOD Storage system uses the IP protocol instead of import-dependent FC switches. This option is a recognized standard for cloud technology. It provides high flexibility and scalability, integrates with artificial intelligence (AI) architectures, is compatible with the most relevant infrastructures, "said ITPOD CEO Ilya Bornyakov.
ITPOD Storage DSS are divided into 3 classes: Entry, Midrange, High End.
