2020: Release of chips and reactants to the analyzer for detection of a coronavirus
On April 10, 2020 the Federal scientific clinical center of physical and chemical medicine (FNKTs FHM) of the Federal Medical Biological Agency (FMBA) provided chips and reactants to the Indicator BIOT analyzer. They allow to reveal in 15 minutes in biological liquids dangerous viruses, including COVID-19 coronavirus. The Indicator BIOT device was developed by specialists from the Troitsk Engineering Center company entering into the Tekhnospark Group - subsidiary company of Fund of infrastructure and educational programs (FIOP) of Group of RUSNANO. Earlier "Indicator BIOT" was provided to the head of Federal Medical Biological Agency Veronika Skvortsova.
According to the developer, its capability with different reagents appeared to work as the main feature of the Indicator BIOT analyzer. Due to use of the reagents which are quickly developed by the Russian specialists involved with FMBA it was succeeded to cut time of receiving an analysis result by half.
The Indicator BIOT analyzer using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) — a high-precision method of molecular and genetic diagnostics — gives the chance to reveal up to four pathogens at the same time. Also, for the device the line of test systems in a format of microfluid cartridges, including was developed for determination of a coronavirus of SARS-CoV-2. The group of RUSNANO is ready to involve all capacity of developers and engineers of the companies for fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
