2026: "Inferit ITMen" 6.5 with the ability to edit agent configurations
On January 30, 2026, the Russian IT vendor Inferit (cluster of SF Tech of Softline Group of Companies) presented an updated version of its discovery and control system over IT assets - Inferit ITMen 6.5, developed by the division of the same name. The update helps simplify the maintenance of distributed infrastructures, reduce the operational burden on IT services, expand network and API inventory capabilities, and increase the transparency of IT asset data.
The key direction of the release was the development of centralized agent management. In version 6.5, administrators have the ability to edit agent configurations and manage agent updates, both manually and automatically. The upgrade can be performed immediately on selected agents or delayed until they appear on the network, which is especially important for distributed and unstable connected environments.
Additionally, a mechanism for monitoring update permissions has been implemented, which allows you to take into account information security requirements and corporate regulations in order to avoid complicating maintenance processes and mass manual operations.
Significant changes affected the network inventory. Inferit ITMen has improved system sensors and implemented WMI - WinRM polling chains, which increases the stability and completeness of data collection in heterogeneous environments. New fields have been added for inventory purposes.
Version 6.5 enhances inventory capabilities through the REST API, which is added to the list of network inventory protocols. This allows you to collect data from devices and systems that do not support classic polling methods, including specialized and infrastructure equipment.
REST API tasks have support for several inventory targets, improved authorization mechanisms, including Redfish scripts, and new data processing tools have been implemented: storing objects in storeFields with access to their fields, Base64 coding and string processing patterns. This allows you to adapt the system to non-standard data sources without developing individual integrations.
Improved object navigation, implemented flag data separation by type (operating system, files, software, etc.), and added the ability to find child objects according to the list of identifiers. All of these implementations make it easier to work with complex hierarchies and interconnected infrastructure components. In addition, it is possible to ignore the data of individual scripts if they are not required by a specific customer in the report, but are used only to build links during inventory.
The update also includes updating the 6.5 data model to provide a more detailed and structured view of information about IT assets and their relationships.
Version 6.5 is a step toward even greater scalability and manageability. We are developing Inferit ITMen as a tool that helps IT services reduce operating costs and work confidently with infrastructure of any scale, from individual segments to complex distributed environments with thousands of devices, non-standard protocols and increased security requirements, "said Danila Trusov, Product Director Inferit ITMen ().
Additional functionality is already available to Inferit ITMen users. To get started, it is enough to upgrade the system and agents to version 6.5.

"Inferit ITMen" 6.4 with section "Data Collection/Agents"
Inferit presented an updated version of its IT asset discovery and control system - Inferit ITMen 6.4, developed by the division of the same name. The update aims to improve inventory accuracy, enhance agent control, and improve ease of use for system administrators. Softline announced this on December 11, 2025.
The main feature of the version was the section "Data Collection/Agents." Administrators can now centrally monitor the characteristics of installed agents, monitor their status, manage configurations, and assign them to tasks. Downloading agent software has also been moved to this section, which has simplified navigation and accelerated the launch of new control points. Instead of a range of ports, agents now use a single port - this increases security and facilitates configuration on both Windows and Linux platforms.
In "Inferit ITMen" 6.4 there are additional opportunities for working with inventory tasks. Users can save tasks without immediately starting, making the configuration more flexible and secure. The network inventory adds support for multiple accounts in one task. Management of WinRM protocols is ordered: related protocols are now moved as a single group, which eliminates incorrect settings.
The storage structure of data collected through the REST API has changed: the results are now saved in.db format. At the same time, the previous storage option is supported - in folders.
The updates also affected REST API sensors: it became possible to combine the results of several scripts into one sensor. This allows you to consistently obtain data on an object using different methods without creating separate sensors. In addition, the task and sensor configuration interfaces have become more uniform thanks to the appearance of separate Save and Save and Start actions.
The Validation Log section adds a limit on the length of rule and task titles, and the retry schedule is now only displayed when the retry mode is selected, reducing visual noise and reducing the likelihood of errors.
Update 6.4 strengthens the position of Inferit ITMen as a universal tool for comprehensive discovery and control of the IT landscape in complex corporate environments. We continue to develop the system so that it scales, adapts to any tasks and gives reliable, reliable data in any infrastructure, - said Danila Trusov, product director of Inferit ITMen (cluster of SF Tech of Softline Group of Companies).
The updated functionality is already available to users, it is enough to update agents to version 6.4.
"Inferit ITMen" 6.3 with a separate section with rules, tasks and audit log
"Inferit" () presented a new release of the inventory, accounting and control system of the IT infrastructure "Inferit ITMen" version 6.3. The update focuses on ease of administration, report flexibility, and improved task control. Softline announced this on September 30, 2025.
The key change in "Inferit ITMen" 6.3 was the emergence of a separate section with rules, tasks and a check log. It allows you to create rules for checking the collected information and combine them in check tasks to automatically run on a schedule. For example, you can create a rule called "Disk Space Less than 30 GB" and set the execution to "once a day." The system will find every day all devices whose data has been updated since the last check and which fit the condition, automatically log them and, if necessary, send notifications to the mail. Similarly, you can configure rules to detect prohibited software, stop important services, and other critical situations.
The data model has been updated in version 6.3: the number of collected attributes has been increased, new configuration objects have been added, and sensors have been improved to collect them. For working with reports, the Save As button has appeared, which allows you to create several report variants based on one template without reconfiguring the parameters.
The ability to filter and search by date in data analysis tables and all devices now speeds up the search for the necessary information in large amounts of data. If reporting is disabled, the system automatically hides the reporting schedule, eliminating confusion in the settings.
Users can now group and filter rules and tasks according to various parameters, configure start and submit scripts. The Device Card Check Log displays the results of the completed tasks and allows you to sort records by date, ensuring complete transparency of the system and simplifying the analysis of IT assets.
Significant changes affected the "History" block. Users received advanced filters by date and column display, default sorting from new to old, and an updated period selection panel. These improvements are important, for example, for IT audits and incident analysis, when you need to quickly understand what has changed in the infrastructure over a specific period and identify the causes of failures or violations.
Implemented the ability to bulk delete data to save time when cleaning large amounts of outdated information.
In the inventory section, the checks of the order and list of used scanning and inventory protocols have been improved, which prevents configuration errors and ensures the completeness of the inventory data collection. The "Domain" field has been added in the network inventory settings and the description of WMI has been clarified, which is especially important for large corporate networks with multiple domains. Object inventory is supported in a VMware environment - this allows you to get a complete picture of the virtual infrastructure without using additional tools. When collecting data through SQL, it is now possible to check for at least one inventory object.
Special attention is paid to sensors. Now the "Save As" function is available in the sensor card interface for quickly creating different types of equipment. The system warns of unsaved changes, preventing loss of settings, and blocking the removal of system objects in the sensor table protects against accidental deletion of important information. For the convenience of choosing a script type, hints have been added. Also, the system has notifications about updating the data model and sensors.
The administration has features for downloading SSL certificates and testing a connection to the database. The data model has received an updated interface with warnings about unsaved changes and a new ability to reset parameters, which simplifies the rollback to previous configurations if necessary. The user can now delete devices with tied tracking, while the system warns of possible consequences and helps to avoid losing important data on software use.
Version 6.3 is a step towards making administration and analysis even more convenient in Inferit ITMen. The main innovation of the release is the notification system: now any critical events, from prohibited software to stopping services, are automatically recorded and can come to the mail. This turns Inferit ITMen into a full-fledged proactive control tool that helps IT teams react and prevent incidents faster, "said Danila Trusov, Product Director of Inferit ITMen (SF Tech cluster of Softline Group of companies).
The update is available to all Inferit ITMen customers. To access the enhanced functionality, you must upgrade your agents to version 6.3.
