2022: InfoWatch Data Explorer Commercial Release

On July 20, 2022, the InfoWatch group of companies announced the commercial release of its next development in the field of information security - InfoWatch Data Explorer.

The module based on artificial intelligence technologies is part of the latest version of the InfoWatch Traffic Monitor leak prevention system for July 2022 and solves the problems of automatic clustering of documents and automated tuning of DLP system policies in accordance with emerging information security risks.

According to Natalia Kasperskaya, President of InfoWatch Group of Companies, the InfoWatch Data Explorer module was developed with the co-financing of RFRIT.

"An effective DLP system is one that in its policies fully reflects all important categories of information circulating in the organization. However, the issue of unpredictable events, the so-called "black swans," leading to large-scale problems, in the world of information security is of particular relevance. There are many such events - suddenly discovered vulnerabilities, zero-day attacks, etc. What is the "black swan" in terms of data protection? This is new data or a process that the security service does not even suspect. As a result of the shadow business process that has arisen in the company, informal communication, a new information asset is being created within the organization, which is not reflected in information security policies in any way, the information security service knows nothing about it. The InfoWatch Data Explorer module based on artificial intelligence technologies allowed us to change the approach to information security: if earlier what you know was defended, now the DLP system itself suggests "gray" zones that no one knew about in companies, "said Alexander Klevtsov, head of InfoWatch Traffic Monitor.
