As the head of Infor Charles Phillips emphasized, some of partners of the company developed so popular applications using Mongoose that Infor purchased afterwards developers. As a result, according to Phillips, in Infor decided to begin to offer Mongoose for sale, including in the form of a cloud service. At the same time will take contributions from sales of the applications developed by partners in Infor.
Mongoose mostly is founded on a technology stack of Microsoft which in Infor was adopted under the partner agreement. But Wednesday has a certain flexibility, Phillips claims: for example, with it it is possible to use DBMS Oracle.
According to the head of Infor, thanks to the numerous functions created by the Infor programmers for Mongoose for the last one and a half decades, Wednesday gives certain advantages when developing expansions to ERP systems in comparison with the Microsoft Azure platform.
Infor does not want to be engaged in a hosting of Mongoose, now the company uses for this purpose services of Amazon Web Services and Savvis.
