Intel Cloud SSO

Product
The name of the base system (platform): Salesforce1 (Force.com)
Developers: Intel
Technology: Cloud Computing,  IB - Authentication

Intel introduced Cloud SSO, a cloud-based password management service created as an alternative to local, one-time sign-on software, in the spring of 2012. The corporation hopes that the service will compete with similar offers from Symantec and Symplified.

Cloud SSO provides the system administrator with an online console for selecting applications available to each employee. The service has connectors for about 50 different applications in the form of a service. There is a mobile application for issuing one-time passwords that works on devices running Android and iOS. For those who want to integrate Cloud SSO with local Active Directory and LDAP-based account repositories, the Identity Bridge component running on the customer server is offered.

Cloud SSO runs on Force.com, a platform in the form of a company service Salesforce.com. The single sign-on service is integrated with applications Salesforce.com. The Cloud SSO service also uses Identity Protection technology, which appeared in the new Intel Core processors. Due to this, when accessing online services, you do not need to type one-time passwords generated by Cloud SSO - instead, the key stored in the processor is used for authentication.
