2018: Start of the platform

In June, 2018 Philips Healthcare announced IntelliSpace Oncology – a cloud platform of support of adoption of medical solutions for oncologists which provides data integration of different specialists, helps the doctor to orient with a situation and provides active participation of the patient in therapy selection process.

To the D cloud platform of support of adoption of medical solutions for oncologists the clinical recommendations provided by the leading center of researches and treatments of malignant new growths in the USA — the Boston institute of oncology of Dan-Farbera will be used. 

Philips started the platform of support of adoption of medical solutions for oncologists

The purpose of implementation of clinical recommendations consists in helping oncologists to define quickly the most effective in this case cancer therapy methods. At the same time the recommendations of institute of oncology are based on results of the last scientific research and reflect a general view of specialists of the highest profile on methods of diagnostics and treatment in oncology.

The Philips platform will use the clinical recommendations of institute of oncology to offer doctors the corresponding options of treatment depending on the received results of researches – visualization, laboratory or histologic, - within the patsiyento-focused approach.

Laurie Glimcher, the doctor of medical sciences and the CEO of institute of oncology of Dan-Farbera notes that methods of diagnostics and treatment in oncology change with an improbable speed. Doctors should acquire a huge number of the new information obtained from publications and clinical trials, however it is hard to be guided in it. The platform of support of adoption of medical solutions on the basis of clinical recommendations is capable to help oncologists quicker and more effectively to use the latest scientific data.[1]
