InterStorage for SPF is the technology developed by NEOLANT group and expanding possibilities of the Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) PLM platform in a part:
- convertings, collecting and the publication of a uniform information model from CADPLM different SmartPlant Foundation storage – taking into account and graphic and semantic data;
- fast viewing uniform model of as much as large object (or objects) directly in the environment of SmartPlant Foundation;
- additional instruments of visualization of an object in general, its elements and data on it – selected manually or by criteria – in the environment of SmartPlant Foundation;
- computer-assisted retrieval of collisions in the uniform model collected from different SAPR/PLM in the environment of SmartPlant Foundation.
Need of the solution
Existence of a uniform information model of industrial enterprise in general, available to viewing and data retrieval, provides fundamental advantage in acceptance of management and engineering decisions at all stages of its lifecycle – from design before operation, including reconstruction and modernization.
The uniform information model collected from different sources allows to obtain quickly information on any element of model, having just indicated it and to see all related documentation. And flexible searching tools and data visualizations and elements significantly accelerate the analysis of a situation.
SmartPlant Foundation in total with regulations of updating of information allows to include application of a uniform information model of an object and datacentrichesky management system for technical information (SUID, PLM) in a uniform information field both operating organization, and construction, project, design, repair, research and subcontract organizations, thereby having provided all of them with up-to-date information and significantly having increased efficiency of interaction.
The InterStorage technology is implemented due to integration of several solutions of NEOLANT Group at once – system architecture is provided on the scheme:
- InterBridge – the universal translator 2D/3D modeley allowing to integrate data from the different systems (Autodesk, AVEVA, Bentley, Intergraph, etc.) in uniform model in own format *.p3db.
- InterView is the tool for viewing 2D/3D modeley, data visualization, search of collisions.
- InterStorage is the expansion of the SPF PLM platform providing:
- integration and the publication into SPF of a uniform information model in a format *.p3db, created using InterBridge from the different SAPR/PLM-sistem,
- integration from the SPF InterView tool for viewing and manipulation of the received uniform model.
High-speed performance and scale of models
InterStorage has modern datacentrichesky architecture. The optimized 2D/3D format of data used in InterStorage *.p3db – is tens times more compact than similar formats. It allows to work with the high-detailed information models of large technology objects (for example, the NPP or Refinery) entirely, but not in parts. At the same time in addition to basic opportunities of SPF it is provided:
- increase (much) speeds of visualization of a 3D model;
- significant reduction of the size of files of 3D models, reduction of network traffic and acceleration of loading of 3D models on network;
- failure from excess operations on artificial crushing of a 3D model of an object on a part;
- good high-speed performance and stability at visualization of models without use of powerful graphic stations (including on desktop computers) that allows to save on equipment of jobs of users of SPF.
Expanded visualization
Use of InterStoradge in the environment of SPF gives also additional opportunities of viewing an object and its elements. They can be both are selected manually in a window of display 2D/3D modeli, and selected by criteria.
Options of display and navigation on model:
- visualization by criteria (for example, color indication of elements of model according to values of attributes);
- display of not selected objects translucent;
- dynamic sections of model on 6 planes at the choice of the user;
- transitions between graphic 2D and 3D representations;
- automatic formation of the specification on the selected elements.
Available formats of data
InterStorage significantly expands possibilities of SmartPlant Foundation technology, doing it susceptible to the external 2D/3D formats of data and providing independence to its users. The similar tool is necessary when forming uniform model of a large object as at its design and/or creation of a 3D model the set of systems from different producers is always used.
InterBridge as a part of InterStorage supports data translations of the majority popular SAPR/PLM of platforms.
