Interactive Branch Kiosk

At the beginning of September, 2019 Fiserv, the global supplier of technological solutions for payment and financial services, started the new ATM with the palm scanner which received the name Interactive Branch Kiosk.

This device of self-service is capable to execute difficult cash and check transactions which usually can be carried out only using the cashier. According to the press release of the company, the Verifast technology for identification of veins of palms is also integrated into the device that ensures simplicity and safety of biometric authentication.

Providing complex option of self-service saves time of users, and integration of Verifast for biometric authentication ensures safety. However, the interactive ATM provides also some other opportunities of authentication, including the map/PIN-code and the identifier the user/password. According to Fiserv, thanks to opportunities of processing and high-performance bill acceptors the device minimizes need for service of ATMs and increases efficiency of banks.

The interactive ATM is capable to automate a huge number of transactions which are usually carried out in bank branches. With its help users acquire the right to work with bank at the speed, and employees of the bank can focus on consultations and more difficult tasks. The first financial institutions already implemented Interactive Branch Kiosk in the work.

According to data of Fiserv, the equipment of the booth is made by Hyosung and can be integrated directly with the main platform of processing of bank accounts or credit union and network of service of cards. Basic integration means that from the ATM it will be possible to get access to any account and also the fact that transactions in booths do not depend on remote cash registers.^[1]
