2022: Platform Announcement

At the end of September 2022, Align Technology announced the launch of a platform for remote control by doctors over the wearing of Invisalign Virtual Care AI eliners. The manufacturer calls its solution very promising.

Align Technology has developed a next-generation platform to optimize workflows for physicians and their staff. Features include registering, configuring, and checking patients directly on the Invisalign Doctor Site. This eliminates the need to use separate independent solutions.

Thanks to AI, the solution helps doctors remotely monitor the course of Invisalign treatment. They base the progress on their own pre-approved clinical parameters and automated AI assessment algorithms. Automatic notifications using AI, based on the doctor's settings, accompany patients at all stages of treatment. Patients submit photos at each alignment change and are notified of treatment progress in a mobile app.

Invisalign Virtual Care AI is the only physician-led AI remote monitoring solution on the market that integrates with Align's digital platform, allowing physicians to prioritize exceptions in Invisalign's treatment tracking, "said Align Technology Chief Product and Marketing Officer Raj Pudipeddi. }}

According to the developers, the system creates a seamless and intelligent single-platform experience for doctors and staff. It is also beneficial for patients who receive instructions obtained from an automatic assessment in just one hour. The platform is based on the Invisalign Virtual Care platform, launched in March 2020. She helped doctors communicate remotely with patients in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Align Technology noted that the deployment of the platform begins in some markets in the Asia-Pacific region, the EMEA region and the Americas.[1]
