2019: Start of service

In January, 2019 the Microsoft company started a cloud service for safe connection and control of the equipment of Internet of Things. The new solution was received by the name IoT Hub Device Streams.

According to the SiliconANGLE edition, for the enterprises which in the work use a set of the devices connected to network such as industrial sensors, accomplishment of proper maintenance of this equipment is a priority task.

Microsoft started a cloud service for safe connection and control of the IoT-equipment

IoT Hub Device Streams allows IT administrators to be connected to the device which needs service, without changes of corporate security policies and settings of operation of the firewall.

As a rule, the companies block the majority of forms of remote access to the systems to minimize risk of penetration by hackers into computer infrastructure. IoT Hub Device Streams provides secure access to the IoT-equipment, redirecting traffic through the existing network connection which the device uses for connection to Azure cloud.

IoT Hub Device Streams works based on an open cloud platform of Azure IoT Hub which connects, traces and controls billions of resources of Internet of Things. The platform supporting  packets of SDK open source and several protocols, is applied to safe connection, monitoring of the IoT-equipment and management by it to develop applications for Internet of Things.

IT administrators can use the data of telemetry sent from the device to a cloud to understand a status of devices and to define routes of messages for other services Azure without having to write any code. Using messages from a cloud on the device it is possible to send commands and notifications for attached devices and to monitor delivery of messages using notifications on receiving.[1]
