2019: Start of the solution for connection of video surveillance systems to video analytics

On July 23 the Ivideon company reported that it started the solution for connection of any video surveillance systems to video analytics.

According to the company, about 80% of the equipment in the market of video surveillance do not solve real problems of the client because of low technologies. The cloud service of video surveillance of Ivideon will save the market from this problem, having opened access to the advanced analytical tools to owners of video surveillance systems of any generation.

The cloud service of video surveillance of Ivideon started the cross-platform solution Ivideon Bridge. The small device is capable to upgrade video surveillance systems of the previous generations: connect the vast majority of cameras and video recorders to modern infrastructure of data centers with cloud archive, a possibility of flexible intellectual search of video and also advanced modules of video analytics - to monitoring of queues and cash desks, and in the long term - to face recognition and calculation of visitors.

According to Ivideon, for July, 2019 in Russia about 15 million surveillance cameras are used. 22% from them have access to video analytics tools: such as face recognition, calculation of unique visitors, analyst of queues and the layout for retail. The most part of the market - about 80% of cameras - has only to functions of viewing and record of video on the local carrier. Even the simple request for viewing the necessary fragment of video in archive is integrated to the great difficulties connected with the speed of operation of the equipment on an object and restrictions in Internet channel width at remote access.

It is possible to connect up to 16 cameras to Ivideon Bridge or DVR channels (video recorders) in any combination, regardless of the producer and model. Ivideon Bridge is equipped with Ethernet-, HDMI-and USB ports. For July, 2019 the device is compatible from 90% of the cameras and DVR existing in the Russian market. With the most popular cameras — Hikvision and Dahua - Ivideon Bridge supports deep integration by default (without additional settings) through native protocols of producers.

Video surveillance systems quickly become outdated: updating of the park of cameras are a slow and expensive process. From 3 million surveillance cameras which are annually imported to Russia, still about 80% are applied only to basic tasks: watching video in the live mode and signing up in local archive. To each head for July, 2019 it is clear that in business it is necessary to use the instruments of control allowing to save considerably time and resources. We were faced by a major problem to bring solution of the problem of outdated cameras to the market that without replacement of devices and the inflated budgets to give to business an opportunity to use all advantages of cloud computing.
