JasperSoft BI Suite is a multifunction packet for deployment and implementation of highly specialized applications of a class Business Intelligence within the program free software. Two important functional new products are added to the upgraded version of an open packet released by Jaspersoft company for the business analysis of Business Intelligence (BI Suite) of version 3.5: the analysis mode "in memory" (in-memory) and polynomial transactions. "in memory" studying of data on the local system allows the client to make the analysis instead of sending requests to the OLAP server or the data warehouse. Adding of polynomial transactions was result of work of Jaspersoft with clients directed to providing a packet of BI according to the Software as a Service model (SaaS). It allows several organizations to use jointly the only unrolled application with instruments of administration for management of shared resources and a single system of identification of users. Among other new products — the web application for creation of reports, the scalability, new search of users and roles, some other expansions is improved.

Free edition Community Edition of a packet Jaspersoft is available on services Red Hat OpenShift and CloudForms. Its availability on a cloud platform is soon also promised VMware. As set in Jaspersoft, the target the company puts to provide to the developers using services PaaS the easiest way to supply the applications with analytic functions. According to representatives of Jaspersoft, in the company hope that its tools will become the standard BI for cloud applicaions.

Jaspersoft promises that transition to the commercial version of the report generator will not demand any completions in applications — it will be only more functionally rich and to be followed by support services. Jaspersoft is going to offer tools and on other PaaS focused on development on Java. Among possible candidates — the Salesforce.com Heroku platform.

Jaspersoft 4.0

In the new version of a system, Jaspersoft 4.0, the company refused the typical scheme of updating of BI systems — adding of new analytical opportunities, instead having made software more available for a wide range of the system administrators who are not specialists in the systems of a business intelligence. According to in the company, the new version of Jaspersoft facilitates expansion, integration and any setup of a system for developers.

Thanks to application of web standards the new version of tools also is more transferable: the organizations will be able to unroll software both as independently used service, and as a part of a public or internal stack of web applications.

Version 4.0 of a system is reorganized into three levels. On lower there is a business intelligence mechanism; it can be expanded using Java Server Pages technology. The average level, event, it is possible to expand using JavaScript. At this level administrators can create flows of works, for example, to provide a possibility of sending notifications when a certain indicator exceeds the set threshold. The top level — presentation — is processed using HTML and CSS. On the basis of CSS also user and administrative system interfaces are executed.

Jaspersoft 4.0 is released in the corporate version, and the free option with the open code will leave in the next several weeks.
