2021: Presentation of H425/H425HD, H423 and H212 harvester heads
John Deere on March 12, 2021 introduced a line of harvester heads: these are large-sized H425/H425HD and small-sized H423 and H212. All of them are already available for order from Russian dealers of the company.
All heads have increased durability, and when developing them, the main attention was paid to ease of use, strength, productivity, economy and ease of maintenance. The robust design of these harvester heads is combined with carefully designed hose routing and convenient access to service points.
Like other John Deere harvester heads, these models are also equipped with a SuperCut 100S sawing mechanism with reliable chain tension and the ability to use sawing tires with a wider tail on the H425 and H425HD models. Both of these functions help to prevent the departure of the circuit and, as a result, increase the efficiency of the operation. The replacement of the saw chain is simplified by an updated removal mechanism.
H425 - harvester head for large size class; suitable for 1270G and 1470G. This modification replaced the H415. It is designed for a continuous wheelhouse and other wheelhouses of the main and intermediate use with a diameter at chest height (BHD) of 250-500 mm. The weight of the head is 1360 kg, with improved head protection becoming 10 kg lighter than its predecessor. The maximum diameter of the dressing is 710 mm, and when ordering the saw casing for shallow trunks, 750 mm. The operating range is 50 to 630 mm.
H425HD - an expanded version of the H425 model: the protection of the pulling motor was added to this head, and the tilt frame gained increased strength. In addition, espanders are installed in the upper part of the tilt cylinder, levers of the pulling motors and lower knot-cutting knives. The weight of the head is 1399 kg.
H423 is designed for logging and harvesting wood of small diameter. As in the previous model H413 on this head 4 extension rolls. Modification based on customer feedback improves the excellent characteristics of the harvester head. This head is mounted on 1170G and 1270G machines. It is excellent for main and intermediate cutting with a tree roll diameter at breast height (BHD) of 150-350 mm. The model improved the routing of hoses from the manipulator to the harvester head, as well as from the distributor to the pulling motors. The maximum diameter of the dressing is 580 mm, and the operating range varies from 40 to 500 mm in diameter.
H212 is also designed for logging and logging of small diameter wood. The operating diameter range of the head is 30-400 mm at chest height (DBH) and the optimal range is 100-250 mm. The two-roll head is ideal for machining curved trunks of solid trees with small diameters. The hoses from the boom to the head are laid in such a way as to minimize the inconvenience for working even in thick plantings on the care chimneys. The wide opening of long rolls and knotweed knives simplifies the capture of trees. The height of the head, the length and the strength of the knives make it easier to work with several trees when installing a pack grip.
