Technology: Data processing centers are technologies for DPC
The network of DPCs of an average and large scale allows to create the solution Juniper QFabric, providing at the same time high port capacity (to 6000 ports 10GE), convenience of management and operation (a uniform point of management and the uniform think-tank), profitability at the expense of a possibility of convergent connection of servers, the high performance and a low delay (which is not exceeding 5 microseconds). QFabric well is suitable for data processing centers as with a "traditional" profile of traffic with issue of content "outside", and for DPCs with dominance of cross-server exchange of traffic.


QFabric is network structure for data processing centers. The solution QFabric is result of the long-term Status project of Juniper company on a research and development of data processing centers. This product provides quantum leap in performance of DPCs, reduces operating costs and increases business flexibility, as on the scale of the average companies, and large "cloud" providers. Designed as simple, easily scalable network solution for data processing centers, the product QFabric creates fine conditions for ensuring work of the virtualized DPCs which save from the oppressing need of the choice between functionality and economy of means.

The solution QFabric exponential increases the speed, scalability and efficiency of data processing centers, saving them from problems of technical obsolenscence and improving dynamics of business development. The flat architecture of QFabric also extends to the industry-first solution for network security providing visualization, the strengthened control and scalability of all physical and virtual infrastructure of DPC. The Juniper company needed 3 years of research and development and more than 100 million dollars of investments to create the solution which would meet such requirements and necessary combined all to become the new standard for data processing centers the next ten years. The product QFabric is developed on the basis of the principle of a network architecture of 3-2-1 Juniper company: it is possible to forget about traditional three-level network: it is transformed to superproductive single-level.

The architecture of QFabric of Juniper company works up to 10 times quicker, uses 77% less energy, requires 27% less equipment, occupies up to 90% less working spaces of DPC and reduces costs on production resources by 9 times concerning the next competitive offers. Decrease in current expenses in such volume gives to clients powerful benefits in fight against the growing costs for further scaling of DPC for increase in profit and allows to conform to the growing requirements stimulated by development of the region of "cloud" calculations and the mobile Internet.

The solution QFabric is from three components which together provide high performance, effective high-speed network structure and allow to open possibilities of DPC for 100%. The QF node performs function of the variable processor of all architecture; QF-the switch - the high-speed device of transfer of traffic; and, at last, the QF director allows to exercise one-window administration and control of all devices as whole.

QFX3500 of Juniper Networks company already went on sale and is the first in the QFabric family and the first stage in transition to the architecture of the same name. It can also be used as the independent 64-bit Ethernet switch on 10 gigabits with the controller of the main bus FCoE and the NVA-adapter with Fiber Channel technology. Product QFX3500 performs the fastest single-address and multi-address data transmission in the industry.
