Properties, parameters

The target model of the organization of transmission channels of telemetric information requires that between communication hubs there were two channels — the main and reserve, organized on different data transmission mediums and, it is desirable, both are digital. Upgrade (not replacement!) the existing systems of HF connection with the help of the Zelax equipment — effective and economic solution for the organization of a digital channel for high-voltage transmission lines.

High-voltage transmission lines (VL) are for many years used in power supply systems for information transfer at high frequencies (HF). The HF communication remains one of the most reliable types of communication used for object management of the electrical power systems. The HF communication is economic by transfer of small information volumes on long distances. An important role is played also by the fact that VL and also communication channels organized on them belong to power supply systems.

The necessity of implementation of digital channels, in turn, is caused by emergence of the modern systems of telemetry. Usually the solution of this task requires project implementation, providing complete replacement of the existing equipment, and quite often quite operable communication systems become "victims" of upgrade.

The K-LEP complex is intended for digitalization of the ASK-1, AVS1, ASK-3 and AVS3 equipment - it is one - and the three-channel equipment of HF communication which is installed on substations of the power transmission line (p / c) and nodes of power supply systems.

The K-LEP complex consisting of the M-ASP-PG-LEP modem and the GM-2-SP multiplexer is connected directly to the existing analog ASK-1, AVS1, ASK-3, AVS3 systems or can be retrofitted by a RF unit of AVTs for direct connection to accession filters.

The K-LEP complex consisting of the M-ASP-PG-LEP modem and the GM-2-SP multiplexer allows, using HF communication, to organize a digital channel, to provide high-quality telephone communication, to provide data transmission of RS-232 interfaces with a speed from 100 to 19200 bps in the mode of continuous monitoring.

The HF the communication upgraded using the K-LEP complex is especially profitable on the low-channel systems where the fiber-optic communication line or RRL organization is economically inexpedient because of a small amount of the transmitted data. Use of the K-LEP complex is also justified on extended transmission lines where creation of a new communication channel appears too expensive action.

RS-232 channels of the K-LEP complex work with speeds from 100 bps to 19200 bps that allows to use it both with old, and with the new systems of telemetry. Thus, the HF communication can be a tsifrovizovana beforehand, before emergence of the new systems of telemetry.

The K-LEP complex allows to reduce operating costs at the expense of a possibility of a remote configuration and diagnostics of the equipment that, in addition, allows to increase number of unattended or low-attended substations.

The HF communication can be upgraded by complete replacement of all equipment by a modern digital complex. But, unlike complete replacement of the equipment, upgrade using the K-LEP complex has additional benefits among which:

  • much smaller cost;
  • minimum amount of commissioning.

In addition to transmission systems on the power transmission line the K-LEP complex can be used for upgrade of ET61-ET-66, AVTs, P300-1, P-303, P-330-6 systems (Azur-6), ShK-12. P-303 system is field 3-channel (P-303-OV) or the 6-channel (P-303-OA) equipment of transfer on a symmetric cable. P-330 — the field 6-channel equipment of transfer on a symmetric cable. In P-303 and P-330-6 systems there is an opportunity to organize for data transmission broadband channel in a band 12...24 kHz with a width of 12 kHz (ShK-12).

The K-LEP complex can work with many low-channel ASP in a band 12...24 kHz in which the so-called proto-group path in which three TCh channels are placed is created. Thus, the modem can work with ASP irrespective of, the broadband channel of ShK-12 or a proto-group path is organized there.
