KORUS Forecast is the cloud service of demand forecasting on goods deployed on the Microsoft Azure platform.

Being connected to service KORUS|Forecast, the client receives a set of the configured analytical reports which allow to trace in real time the most important indicators according to the forecast and work of logistics.

2018: Modules OSA, Promo Analysis and GIS

On August 28, 2018 the CORUS Consulting Group company announced expansion of a possibility of own cloud service of KORUS|to Forecast based on Microsoft Azure using three modules which close problems of planning of promotion actions, identifications of the reasons of deficit of goods on shelves of shops and the choice of location for opening of new sales points.

According to the company, now using add-on modules KORUS|Forecast it is possible to close the whole range of tasks from operational identification of the reasons of Out-of-stock and planning of marketing activities before the choice of the best location for opening of new shop.

KORUS|OSA is the cloud service on operational identification of the reasons of deficit allowing to react instantly to an indicator of Out-of-Stock and to reduce the missed sales. On the basis of the hourly analysis of checks, promotion actions, a remaining balance and diagrams of orders the service estimates goods availability on the shelf, defines at what level there was an error (a problem of merchandising, service of suppliers or forecasting) and on this basis sends to the management of network of the recommendation about corrective actions. Possibilities of the solution also help to create in real time a broad spectrum of the analytical reporting for top management: the missed sales, percent of product availability, the loudspeaker and comparison of indicators by formats and regions.

The solution KORUS|Promo Analysis is intended for large and average retail networks and is used for forecasting of effect of promotion actions at the level of each goods and shop, allows to plan competently optimum advertizing activities (from determination of the purposes and terms before budget making), to monitor their carrying out and to make the analytical reporting for visualization. Use of this solution helps retailers to reduce costs for advertizing campaigns, to increase traffic of visitors of shops, to increase loyalty of buyers and to select the most effective promo-tool according to the marketing purposes.

Also it was reported that one more service in a line of solutions on demand forecasting – KORUS|GIS allowing to carry out the geomarketing analysis. Service analyzes options of geographic location of a trade zone, a competitive environment, density of traffic flows, pedestrian availability, convenience of parkings and access zones, revealing potential zones for opening of new shops taking into account influence of external factors. Possibilities of service allow retailers to predict key economic indicators, to reduce costs at the first development stages of the area and to develop effective marketing strategy.

Our own solution KORUS Forecast developed in 2017 already managed to prove the viability in the market – the pilot project in Korablik network showed the first financial results of implementation. We expect that thanks to ample opportunities of cloud services heads will get competitive advantage in the form of the tool which helps with adoption of the correct solutions at emergence of deficit of goods, planning of promotion actions and expansions of retail chain stores.

2016: Start of service

Corus Consulting Group provided on December 6, 2017 the cloud service of Korus Forecast allowing FMCG retailers and distributors to predict the goods demand. The service is deployed on the Microsoft Azure platform.

According to developers, the cloud service of KORUS Forecast is created using methods of cleaning (pre-processing) and data translation. Automatically makes a demand forecast for each goods and/or shop of network for every day, on the selected horizon in the future, without restrictions on amount of data and performance and considers as internal data of the retailer and distributor (all historical data up to the check are used), and external, such, for example, as a competitive environment.

Service works with crude data of the retailer/distributor that allows to unload almost completely on data translation on the party of the customer. All calculations and conversions are executed in specially designed storage of crude data in a cloud by experts of Corus Consulting.

According to the statement of the company, KORUS Forecast offers the advanced methodology and a business case of calculation of efficiency which consists in the analysis of the current situation at the retailer/distributor on the level of goods write-off, the Out-of-Stock level and storage costs of goods for a certain period. Then mathematical modeling of improvement of indicators at application of the forecast calculated in service is made. The pilot project lasting one month — the proof of economic effect on the selected pilot objects becomes a final step. In case of success of all three steps the client is offered to use further service in wider volume for monthly payment with a dedicated line of support of experts of Corus Consulting.

The service model becomes regulation at the solution of optimization business challenges, including in demand forecasting. If earlier years and tens of millions of rubles of investments before it was possible to see economic result from implementation of the optimization systems, then now, with the advent of clouds and service approach were required, the account goes for months, and initial costs are not required — Konstantin Dobrotok, the head of the systems of optimization of department of ERP of Corus Consulting Group emphasized. — The combination of methodology and a business case of efficiency of KORUS Forecast allows to gain quickly the effect equal to 0.3-0.5% of the retailer/distributor's turnover, due to optimization of safety stocks, decrease in level of write-offs and out-of-stock.
