KRS-IX (Krasnoyarsk Internet Exchange) is the node of exchange of Internet traffic created by Vebra company for the telecommunication environment of the city. KRS-IX is the cornerstone the distributed high-speed data network with a connectivity to it in any district of Krasnoyarsk or in data center at a speed from 10mbps to 10Gbps. Direct exchange of traffic between networks of operators - participants of exchange allows to save, first of all, him on external channels and also to set the low prices of exchange traffic for the subscribers and to develop internal resources, increasing their popularity due to free access for itself from other networks. Traffic within a P2P network is not considered, but each participant has the right to determine independently terms of the exchange with other participants by agreements of the parties or unilaterally and also to rate the traffic received on exchange for the subscribers. In network about 50 participants, among which - KF JSC Rostelecom, Eniseytelekom Ltd, ER-Telecom Holding Ltd, JSC VimpelCom, LLC Yandex, the Federation Council of OJSC MegaFon, Sibtranstelekom Ltd. In the first half of 2014 Siberian Federal University, Telecom of AtomLink and Multiregional Transit Telecom (MTT) were connected to KRS-IX.
