2025: Platform implementation at KamAZ
On February 19, 2025, KamAZ announced the transition to the use of the domestic digital platform Kamotive, developed by specialists of the KamAZ Innovation Center subsidiary. The new system replaced Siemens' Teamcenter module at the company's Science and Technology Center.
According to the press service of KamAZ, more than 600 users and 238 partner organizations of the company are connected to the cloud system for automated exchange of design documentation Kamotive - Supplier portal.
Irek Gumerov, First Deputy General Director and Executive Director of KamAZ PJSC, explained that the foreign systems existing at the enterprise for joint work and exchange of technical documentation have ceased to meet modern safety requirements.
The domestic Kamotive platform is designed for the joint development of high-tech products in a single safe space, uniting engineers, developers and suppliers. The system allows you to improve the quality of design solutions and reduce the time for product design thanks to tools for monitoring joint processes and digital data exchange.
The platform is developed by the KamAZ Innovation Center, which employs more than 250 highly qualified specialists who have implemented over 80 innovative projects. The company specializes in the development of industrial software, intelligent transport systems, self-driving, electrified and autonomous cars.
The introduction of Kamotive is part of KamAZ's strategy to replace imported components in the production of cars of the new model range. Specialists of the KamAZ Innovation Center continue to work on improving the platform functionality and developing new versions of the product.[1]
