The solution of Kaspersky Lab for protection against DDoS is certified by FSTEC
Kaspersky DDoS Prevention became the Russia's first solution for protection against DDoS attacks which successfully passed tests and received the certificate of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) certifying lack of not declared opportunities. Since September 1, 2013 ensuring protection of the state information systems against such attacks became the mandatory requirement of FSTEC of Russia.
The DDoS attacks blocking access to network resources became the usual phenomenon for Internet business. In a zone of extra risk — banks, government institutions, media and online trade. So, in 2014 52% of the Russian companies which online services are critical for work became the victims of DDoS. It is promoted by relative availability and low cost of the similar attacks.
Kaspersky Lab made use of the accumulated experience of fight against cyberthreats for creation of Kaspersky DDoS Prevention. This solution available in Russia and the countries of Europe represents the system of the distributed traffic filtering consisting of the high-performance centers of cleaning located in the different countries and connected to Network on high-speed links of communication. At identification of the fact DDoS attacks the traffic going to the client is redirected on the equipment of Kaspersky Lab where suspicious requests are filtered on individual algorithms. The centers of cleaning are also controlled by experts who in case of need can adjust algorithms during the attack. This approach allows to sustain DDoS attack practically of any power and also to avoid an overload of an online service of the client even in case of difficult and earlier unknown types of the attacks.
In the conditions of a wide choice of similar solutions to owners of business degree of trust which they can render to this or that vendor is extremely important. This trust is supported, first of all, with independent tests not only different test laboratories, but also and at the state level according to national standards. As one of similar tests check of FSTEC of the software product on existence of so-called nedekladrirovanny opportunities — undescribed functionality in documentation when which using violation of security of the processed information is possible serves in Russia. This check includes a set of the stages and estimates allowing to make sure as a result with big confidence figure of lack of vulnerabilities in the program.
the Kaspersky DDoS Prevention Service is available in DPC
On May 26, 2015 Kaspersky Lab announced providing Kaspersky DDoS Prevention service through partner data centers to the organizations whose infrastructure is placed on servers[1].
The Stack Group company started implementation of service for clients.
"Clients of our data center of M1 (Stack.M1) even more often are interested in service for protection against DDoS attacks therefore several months ago we began work on the choice of the most qualitative and reliable solutions in this area. The solution of Kaspersky Lab is unambiguous one of the best in the Russian market, behind it there is a high level of competence of development team and representatives of service support. In case of the choice of this solution our clients can be sure of reliable protection of the IT resources" — Tamaz Hechinashvili, the deputy commercial director of Stack Telecom noted.
Until recently Kaspersky DDoS Prevention was expected the companies capable to select IT specialists for switching of the incoming traffic to infrastructure of Kaspersky Lab in case of the attack. Now, within cooperation with data centers, this task lays down on shoulders of an IT command of hosting company that provides quick reaction on the first signs of DDoS attack 24 hours a day and allows the companies to reduce costs for additional specialists.
"It is not a just alternative method of connection Kaspersky DDoS Prevention. The matter is that having once provided integration with data center, we offer any of his clients, this or future, operational activation of protection from DDoS attacks. Thus, Kaspersky DDoS Prevention became more available to mid-size companies. As for really large organizations which support own infrastructure data processing centers, will still work with it more conveniently via the standard partner channel" — explained Evgeny Vigovsky, the head Kaspersky DDoS Prevention Kaspersky Labs.
For May 26, 2015 the Kaspersky DDoS Prevention service works by means of switching of client traffic to attack time in the centers of data scrubbing. The centers are located in Russia, including in Moscow, in other countries and are connected to network on high-speed links of communication. At identification of the fact DDoS attacks harmful traffic is filtered and the client is reached only by requests of legitimate users that saves infrastructure and services from an overload. Such approach helps to sustain DDoS attack practically of any power and also to avoid an overload of an online service of the client.
