Kerio Operator 2.0

Kerio Operator 2.0 opens access to an API control interface of Asterisk (AMI). The open interface API allows third-party applications, such as customer relationship management systems (CRM) and softphones, to be integrated with Kerio Operator. Integration with CRM means that employees can dial numbers of the clients directly in the interface of the CRM system, and these calls will be automatically registered.

Kerio Operator 2.0 is issued in the form of a software module with the own safe operating system and is intended for installation on the client's equipment. Other new features of Kerio Operator 2.0:

  • The parking of a call — allows the user to deliver a call in a standby mode on one telephone set and to continue a conversation from any other telephone set.
  • Advanced processing of extension numbers — even if the same extension is appointed to both desktop phone, and the smartphone, Kerio Operator allows to set to each of devices own settings, at the same time these devices will be able to be members of one group, queue of calls, or zones for call intercept.
  • Automatic adjustment — automatic adjustment of phone excludes need of difficult configuring of new phones at their connection to network. Practically all popular phone models, including Cisco, Linksys, Polycom, Snom and Yealink/Well are supported.
  • The built-in function of a call recording — allows to write all entering and outgoing calls for individual additional numbers, conferences or user groups.
  • Enciphering of telephone conversations by means of the TLS protocol.
  • Operation of the console of the administrator, thanks to optimization of the engine and use of caching is twice accelerated.

The server license Kerio Operator (including licenses for 5 users) costs from €142. The cost of additional licenses — €28.4 for 5 users.

Kerio Operator 2.1

The telephone system of the Kerio Operator 2.1 IP PBX includes the corporate application allowing users to be connected to office line from the smartphone. These new features are designed to provide the increased flexibility for the IT managers and workers using popular smartphones on iOS and Android. Kerio Operator Softphone available to the IOS and Android platforms represents the application for telephony on the basis of SIP using Wi-Fi or cellular networks for contact with the IP PBX server. It simplifies commission of calls, and has the intuitive interface with all fixed functions of phone — the telephone directory, display of calls, the magazine of calls, voice mail and support of several calls. The multitasking allows Kerio Operator Softphone to work in the background — thus, it is possible to work with other applications, speaking by phone.

Kerio Operator 1.1

The Kerio Technologies company announced in the summer of 2011 the new version of the product Kerio Operator 1.1, the corporate automatic telephone exchange based on VoIP technologies focused on representatives of small and medium business.

The new version of Kerio Operator is a safe and functional solution which deployment and setup takes several minutes. According to the producer, a system considerably increases quality of voice communication between the staff of the organization, allows to reduce costs for communication services and helps workers to stay in touch irrespective of the current location.

Kerio Operator 1.1 is the cornerstone the protocol of SIP VoIP which is the industry standard and guarantees compatibility of a product with most the known services and IP telephony devices. For setup of parameters of a telephone system and remote administration the intuitive web interface started in an Internet browser window can be used.

The Kerio Operator 1.1 system is available in program and hardware options. Thanks to close integration of Kerio Operator with the product Kerio Connect the staff of the organization gets access to messages of voice mail from the working e-mail. Besides, support of group calls and conference communication and also ample opportunities of readdressing of calls is offered to the organizations.

In the new version of a product function of automatic detection and setup of the new phones connected to network is implemented (models of devices from leading manufacturers of Cisco, Linksys, Snom and Polycom are supported). The improved compatibility with NAT provides safe deployment of Kerio Operator 1.1 in public networks.

Additional mechanisms of security are offered users of Kerio Operator 1.1. A system performs dynamic protection against selection of passwords and blocks the IP address after a certain number of unsuccessful connection attempts. One more innovation is operational identification of any activity of users which is beyond statutory rules. For example, the program will timely notify the administrator on a long trunk call and will allow to solve immediately arisen problem.

Kerio Operator 1.2

The IP telephony server of Kerio Operator 1.2 simple in use, both for the user, and for the IT administrator, allows the small and medium enterprises to improve quality and convenience of telephone communication and to cut down expenses. The enterprises applying Kerio Operator can configure the telephone network without the need for involvement of expensive specialists in telephony. The new version of a product uses the standard protocol SIP VoIP and is based on Asterisk 1.8.

Now Kerio Operator 1.2 supports the Digium TDM410 cards with the modules FXO connected to an analog telephone line. Thanks to it, the enterprises which made the investments in outdated telephone systems will be able to use the modern IP PBX functions in the company and to be connected to the outside world by a traditional method.

Kerio Operator 1.2 works in synergy with other products Kerio. So, the basic Kerio Control configuration allows to reserve sufficient band width of transmission for VoIP of traffic that allows to transfer speech information without loss of quality. Besides Kerio Operator is easily integrated with Kerio Connect that allows users to open, listen and delete voice messages from the box of e-mail.

Kerio Operator 1.2 is issued in the form of the software application with the own safe operating system and also in the form of the virtual module of VMware allowing to perform fast deployment or estimated installation in virtual environment.

New features of a system include:

  • Interception of a call – allows users to answer the incoming calls which arrived on someone else's phone, having typed the special code uniform for all "zones" of office. Just it is necessary to know the extension number.
  • Support of a board of indication of busy lines – this function is especially useful to secretaries. The lamp display of indication of busy lines of communication informs the user by means of inclusion of LEDs on availability, employment or existence of an active call on the specific line.
  • Automatic initialization – automatic adjustment of phone excludes need of difficult configuring of new phones at their connection to network.
  • Practically all popular phone models, including Cisco, Linksys, Polycom and Snom are supported.
