2025: Defective stabilization system found

On January 31, 2025, Rosstandart announced the recall of Kia Quoris executive sedans, as well as Kia Carnival minivans. Identified defects can increase the risk of a traffic accident.

The recall programs were initiated by KIA Russia and CIS LLC, the official representative of the Kia manufacturer on the Russian market. Kia Quoris cars have a malfunction of the ESC stabilization system: if there is a problem, the corresponding indicator lights up. The defect affects 729 machines sold from 2015 to 2018. As part of the repair work on these vehicles, two ESC fuses will be replaced and the correct stickers will be sticked on the cover of the fuse box.

In the case of Carnival minivans, the reason for the recall is the unreliable mounting of the molding on the roof: this element can detach during movement due to insufficient fixation between the roof flange and fastening clips. Detached moulding can pose a risk to other road users, increasing the risk of an accident. The defect affects 118 Carnival cars sold between 2021 and 2022. The machines will check the installation of the roof molding, its fastening or replacement, if necessary.

Authorized representatives of the manufacturer by sending letters and/or by phone will inform motorists about the need to provide a vehicle to the nearest dealership to eliminate defects. In addition, the owners can independently determine on the Rosstandart website whether their vehicle falls under the recall by comparing the car's VIN code with the list of cars within the framework of the recall program. All repair work will be carried out free of charge for owners.[1]
