2025: Service Launch
In June 2025, MTS launched the free AI service Kodify Nano for generating program code, built on a language model with a volume of 1.5 billion parameters. The product is aimed at developers who need a local tool without access to cloud power. According to the developers, their solution allows you to test basic scenarios directly on user devices and is included in the strategy for the development of domestic digital products.
The development was released by MWS AI, part of MTC Web Services. Kodify Nano supports a context of up to 32 thousand tokens, which corresponds to about 16-25 thousand lines of code depending on the programming language. The assistant works with 90 programming languages, including Python , Java, JavaScript, C# and Go.
Artificial intelligence is able to automatically supplement and improve code, write tests, create documentation, generate code by description and explain someone else's code. The model is based on Qwen2.5-Coder, and for its further training, MWS AI used its own dataset with a large amount of code in different languages.
Kodify Nano is available for download on the MWS AI website and the Hugging Face platform. The solution comes with a plugin compatible with popular editors and development environments. It can be deployed in a closed loop, which eliminates the risk of code leakage, adapted to specific tasks and further trained on its data.
The quantized version of the model requires only 1 GB of RAM. This allows you to use the solution on devices with limited technical characteristics and reduces the hardware requirements for testing artificial intelligence functions.
Denis Filippov, CEO of MWS AI, noted that the era of business digitalization is ending and the era of transformation using artificial intelligence is beginning. The transition of companies to generative artificial intelligence requires the presence of specialists who know how to work with it.[1]
