KM-1 is the printing system of the B2+ format. A system acts on the basis technologies of an inkjet printing with UF-curing of ink.

2020: AccurioJet KM-1e of the B2+ format with technology of a jet UV printing

Konica Minolta provided on July 6, 2020 the digital machine of a sheet UV printing AccurioJet KM-1e of the B2+ format.

AccurioJet KM-1e, as well as her "predecessor" - AccurioJet KM-1, gives opportunities for expansion of printing business. Engineers of Konica Minolta improved technology of a jet UV printing to provide image quality on any materials, including the plastic and synthetic carriers, a transparent film foiled and the metallized papers, a canvas.

Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1e will help the companies to expand the range of services of commercial printing due to support of different printing carriers, opportunities of personalisation and additional opportunities in finishing.

The machines Konica Minolta KM-1e already started working in Europe and the USA.

We aim is more complete to realize the potential of technologies of digital printing due to automation, the integrated technologies of digital printing on demand and also the improved visualization of process and results of printing. It allows us to solve a number of commercial and social problems. AccurioJet KM-1e offers additional opportunities the digitalizations especially relevant in the light of universal transition from an offset printing to jet. The main advantage of the AccurioJet KM-1e model are possibilities of business development due to more high-marginal services. Now we can offer not only a quality printing, but also services in varnishing, decorative cutting, etc. - Tosha Uyemur, the president of division of professional printing, Konica Minolta Inc

The Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 system supports the most different opportunities and types of carriers. And also, as well as the provided model, is equipped with the patented Dot Freeze Technology™ (DFT) technology allowing to solve one of the main problems of an inkjet printing — the uncontrollable shift of drops of ink because of which printing quality decreases and is reduced the range of materials, suitable for printing. Now ink drops instantly stiffen at contact with a printed material.

2018

Description of Dot Freeze Technology technology

On December 14, 2018 the Konica Minolta company told about freezings technology of Dot Freeze Technology (DFT) ink which is used by the system of a jet UV printing of B2 AccurioJet KM-1 format. DFT provides optimal combination of colors and stability of the image.

The Dot Freeze Technology technology patented by Konica Minolta, according to the developer, solved one of key problems of an inkjet printing – the uncontrollable shift of a drop of ink which is reducing product quality and reducing a range of carriers, suitable for printing. The DFT technology "freezes" a drop of ink right after contact with material. Thanks to sharp temperature change the liquid ink moving from snuffled the printing head, lose flowability and stiffen in the form of a motionless drop at contact with the carrier. Thus, the problem of uneven coloring and printing on porous materials is solved.

According to the statement of the developer, the DFT technology allows to reach high stability and constancy of color in circulation. Prints dry instantly, providing a possibility of immediate printing of the sheet on the back, at the same time prints without additional drying can be sent directly to devices of postprinting processing. Preliminary preparation or the separate module of a praymirovaniye are not required. Two-sided printing including in one pass, it is available even on the thinnest papers 60 microns thick. Besides, DFT allows to expand a color scope of CMYK and to reduce the need for additional paints.

The AccurioJet KM-1 system applies DFT technology that, according to representatives of Konica Minolta, allows clients to use different types of products and materials in production: plastic, film, canvas, synthetics, chalk overlay and uncoated paper, offset paper, textured paper and PVC-materials. There is a possibility of production of cards of loyalty and gift cards. The machine can print on standard carriers for offset without preprocessing, at the same time product quality does not concede to offset.

Konica Minolta emphasized that an opportunity to give prints to postprinting processing right after putting ink became one of advantages of AccurioJet KM-1. Printing process is contactless for 100% and provides exact data of person/turnover in duplex. The machine allows to work with different materials from 0.06 to 0.6 mm thick (one-sided printing) and from 0.06 to 0.45 mm (printing with a revolution), the print speed makes 3,000 sheets per hour in the one-sided mode (1,500 in bilateral), and permission – 1200x1200 dpi. Besides, AccurioJet KM-1 supports carriers by a format to 585 x 750 mm.

"AccurioJet KM-1 represents an alternative to offset machines. The jet sheet machine of the UV printing of the B2+ format allows printing houses to implement creative intentions of clients and to expand products range. Printing using the patented technologies of Konica Minolta will help clients to achieve high-quality a color rendition and constancy of color in circulation, on each sheet, in each task".

AccurioJet KM-1

As of August, 2018, AccurioJet KM-1 is a jet printing system of the B2+ format with a print speed 3 thousand sheets per hour at one-sided printing on different carriers. The machine is capable to print with a sheet revolution for one run, at the same time prints without additional drying can be sent for postprinting processing at once.

The patented Dot Freeze Technology technology provides stability the image and color combination.

AccurioJet KM-1

AccurioJet KM-1 works with a broad spectrum of materials, including chalk overlay and uncoated paper, offset paper, textured paper, a canvas and PVC-materials from 60 to 600 microns thick without the need for a praymirovaniye.

2016: KM1 of the B2+ format

On June 16, 2016 the Konica Minolta company submitted printing KM1 system of the B2+ format.

KM-1 has a possibility of two-sided printing, works with carriers of a big format, prints on packaging cardboard, the thin and textured papers.
