2019: Creation of Care Director Service
On December 12, 2019 the Konica Minolta company announced creation of Care Director Service for optimization of work of medical personnel. The analysis of a broad spectrum of data which are collected by medical institutions is its cornerstone. The company will propose the solution in Japan.
According to the company, the Care Director Service is developed by Konica Minolta QOL Solutions company together with Zenkoukai.
The Konica Minolta service is intended for training of medical personnel as professional "leaving managers". It allows to increase efficiency and quality of the help due to personnel training. Health workers will be able independently to make reasoned decisions and to focus on care of patients.
The Care Director Service analyzes the data obtained thanks to the solution HitomeQ Care Support (which is also developed by Konica Minolta of QOL). The solution works as follows: on a ceiling the sensor which distinguishes movements of the patient is located and sends the notification with a video to the smartphone of the health worker. In case of emergency situation, for example, if the patient fell, Care Support Solution automatically fixes the finished shooting material. Right after assistance the employee can create the report on the smartphone.
Thus, Care Director Service gives the chance to carry out comprehensive data analysis from sensors and reports on leaving. Employees can truly assess a situation and provide to patients necessary care.
The Care Director Service allows medical personnel to make independent decisions timely to provide the help. For example, on the basis of data on phases of a dream and awakening health workers can assume in what time the person will wake up. It will reduce load of employees during night shifts and will improve a dream of patients.
In Care Director Service three stages of work are implemented: training, coaching and remote support. During training the educational program helps medical personnel to purchase the skills specialized for the sphere of leaving.
The stage of coaching lasts about two months – at this time the instructor of Konica Minolta visits medical institutions and helps to implement processes, to develop rules, to define measures for optimization and also to set knowledge gained when training.
At a stage of remote support instructors remotely help "leaving managers" to analyze data retrieveds and also to conduct monitoring, to prepare the reporting and to advise other employees.
When developing Care Director Service the Zenkoukai corporation was responsible for determination of necessary skills of "leaving managers" and development of materials for electronic and resident instruction. Thanks to such measures personnel performance – generally due to increase in number of patients for whom the employee is responsible grew. For December, 2019 use of technologies and the concept kaizen allowed to increase an indicator from 1.86 to 2.79.
Konica Minolta QOL Solutions was responsible for development of the program of coaching and remote support and also creation of the infrastructure suitable for formation of processes based on data analysis.
