Description of Dot Freeze Technology technology
On December 14, 2018 the Konica Minolta company told about freezings technology of Dot Freeze Technology (DFT) ink which is used by the system of a jet UV printing of B2 AccurioJet KM-1 format. DFT provides optimal combination of colors and stability of the image.
The Dot Freeze Technology technology patented by Konica Minolta, according to the developer, solved one of key problems of an inkjet printing – the uncontrollable shift of a drop of ink which is reducing product quality and reducing a range of carriers, suitable for printing. The DFT technology "freezes" a drop of ink right after contact with material. Thanks to sharp temperature change the liquid ink moving from snuffled the printing head, lose flowability and stiffen in the form of a motionless drop at contact with the carrier. Thus, the problem of uneven coloring and printing on porous materials is solved.
According to the statement of the developer, the DFT technology allows to reach high stability and constancy of color in circulation. Prints dry instantly, providing a possibility of immediate printing of the sheet on the back, at the same time prints without additional drying can be sent directly to devices of postprinting processing.
