Kraftway Storage 400-16 is the disk array of the enterprise level. It is designed for use as an external disk large memory for the server or a server group with connection on optical FC 8G and iSCSI 1G Ethernet technology with reservation of controllers.
DWH of Kraftway Storage 400-16 (2014)
The external Fibre\iSCSI-to-SAS/SATA disk array with 2 RAID controllers with a possibility of installation a cache memory up to 16GB.
Connection of the disk array to servers is executed via Fibre Channel interfaces 8Gb and 1Gb Ethernet. For the organization of a two-nodal cluster connection on eight FC 8Gb a host channels, on four on each controller is provided in an array.
For information storage in the disk array about 16 hard drives of SAS or SATA with support of hot swap are used.
The maximum physical capacity of the disk array (in one chassis) is 64 Terabytes when installing SATA or 14.4 Terabyte when installing SAS of hard drives. At connection of additional external expansion units (KS200-16 JBOD) (to 6 pieces) the maximum quantity of disks increases to 112 pieces, the capacity of a storage system increases to 448 GB by SATA and 100.8GB on a SAS disks. The possibility of remote monitoring of the disk array on a local network is provided.
The disk array of the average level is designed for use as an additional external disk large memory for the existing server or a server group and also as the general data warehouse for creation of two-nodal clusters in which key parameters are the high capacity of storage and high information transmission rate.
The array maintains advanced functionality when installing specialized software of Thin provisioning:
- for special settings of placement of information on different types of disks,
- for selection of priority volumes of service
- granting additional volumes of storage,
- Local replication - for instant pictures of volumes and creation of mirror and local copies,
- Remote replication is remote replication in a synchronous or asynchronous mode
