Completion of clinical trials of the device "ATG-01"

On June 4, 2019 the Skolkovo Foundation reported that its resident Kriotekhnomed completed clinical trials of the device "ATG-01". Testing was held within 18 months in five leading clinics of Russia. 620 patients with different pathologies of a brain participated in a research. The device allowed to reduce death rate at an ischemic stroke by 48%.

During testing the efficiency of application of a kraniotserebralny hypothermia (KTsG, direct cooling of a brain) using the devices "ATG-01" was investigated.

Application of KTsG in complex treatment of patients with an ischemic stroke revealed:

• positive dynamics in the neurologic status;
• decline in mortality in group of extremely heavy patients with a brain heart attack for 48%;
• decrease in degree of an invalidization;
• positive influence of KTsG on all links of the neurologic status, including on motive violations, speech and level of consciousness.

KTsG can safely and effectively be used for treatment of patients with cerebral accidents in intensive care units and intensive therapy and also in the system of fast and emergency aid.

We already arranged serial production in the territory of Russia. Implementation of technology in clinical practice is supported by the leading profile medical specialists. Development and system implementation of devices in clinical practice were approved by the Supervisory board of the Agency of strategic initiatives under the chairmanship of the President of Russia. For June, 2019 work on inclusion of hardware KTsG in protocols of application and equipment of medical institutions of the country is carried out. Approbation is carried out in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk and Zelenograd, noted Oleg Shevelyov, the director of the company Kriotekhnomed

The device "ATG-01" is registered for application and sales in Russia and Kazakhstan. In line Uzbekistan and Belarus.

Development of Kriotekhnomed company already proved the efficiency in clinic. The company received a grant of Skolkovo Fund, including for development of the next version of the ATG-02 device and its portable modification of 'ATG-02P' held for use out of a hospital, for example, in the ambulance car. The next versions of devices will be the only hypothermia devices in the world with a possibility of the feedback constructed on the radio thermometry of a brain allowing to control with a high accuracy temperature in the defeat center commented Vladimir Egorov, the senior project manager Klastera of biomedical technologies of Skolkovo Foundation
