2020: Creation of a rapid test
On June 15, 2020 it became known of creation in Russia a rapid test for COVID-19. He uses the biochip and is capable to reveal a coronavirus at the person in 10 minutes.
According to Izvestia, technology it is developed at the LETI St. Petersburg state electrotechnical university. There achieved the high speed of the analysis thanks to use of the technologies of microelectronics allowing to minimize all manual transactions, and process of finding of a virus using the chip will be automated and fast. Besides, these systems will not demand special premises in view of the mobility.
The innovation system uses peptides which space komplementarny to a coronavirus thorn, i.e. make with it "key — the lock" pair. If in the biomaterial taken from the person there is a virus, it "will cling" to peptides, and the optical device will allow to see a bright luminescence.
The biochip will be able to carry out two tasks, first, it can contact a virus and by that to block it. Secondly, if the biochip contacts SARS-CoV-2, it will be at once visible on optic instruments.
to poskolk the virus is in an epithelium, on a surface — there from where it gets into an organism — in a nose, in a throat, dab or a phlegm is necessary for the analysis — explained to Izvestia in "LETI". |
On the chip from glass or polymer of the size of a subject fragment of glass there is an input reservoir with solution where test for the analysis is located. The chip is inserted into the reader device where solution passes by platforms with peptides.
According to scientists, the developed peptides can be used in antiviral therapy. Being it is close to a virus, they inactivate it and will not allow to join cells of the person. Molecules, experts believe, it is possible to include in composition, for example, of aerosols, ointments or powders.
Developers calculate how it is possible to undergo certification and to begin serial production of tests.[1]
