2022: QNED QNED816QA
On May 26, 2022, LG Electronics announced that it was presenting a series of LG QNED QNED816QA TVs on the Russian market. Their distinctive feature is LG's patented Quantum Dot c NanoCell technology, which provides images with more accurate colors and increased contrast and brightness.
Thanks to the exclusive LG Quantum Dot technology with NanoCell, QNED TVs increase the bar for image quality on LCD TV screens, reproducing rich and accurate colors.
Dimming Pro brightness adjustment technology in LG QNED TVs uses deep learning algorithms to analyze and transfer object information to backlight brightness adjustment units, creating clearer, more natural images.
The LG α7 5th generation processor optimizes objects in the foreground and background, giving them natural depth, and makes colors bright, but at the same time accurate.
Dynamic Tone Mapping uses a 5th generation α7 intelligent processor to determine what is in the frame and apply the optimal tone curve. The result is natural HDR, deep contrast and detail. The α7 5th generation intelligent processor also converts 2-channel audio into virtual 5.1.2-channel audio.
LG QNED TVs support AMD FreeSync Premium, which allows the user to enjoy dynamic gameplay with reduced breaks, freezes and input delays.
In addition, the LG QNED TV can be included in the smart home ecosystemLG ThinQ so that the user can enjoy using more. The TV can be controlled by voice using the Magic Remote, which provides even more convenience.
LG QNED TVs packed with environmental concerns: the box is recyclable.
2021: QNED916PA, QNED966PA и QNED996PB
On August 20, 2021, LG Electronics (LG) presented on the Russian market a line of LCD TVs in large diagonals, which includes 4K models of the QNED916PA series (screens 65, "75" and 86 "), as well as 8K TVs of the QNED966PA series (screens 65" and 75 ") and QNED996PB (screens 75" and 86 ").
According to the company, LG QNED Mini LED is a TV with a modern display that combines Mini LED backlight capabilities with Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies.
Mini LED is a technology that has reduced the size of screen backlight elements. This allows LG QNED Mini LED TVs to use more LEDs and more dimming areas on the screen. The result is a higher peak brightness, deeper black, and a level of accuracy and detail.
The LG QNED Mini LED TV has about 30,000 mini LEDs that allow you to create a bright image, and about 2,500 separate darkening zones provide deep black and reduce the halo effect even in the darkest scenes.
During Intertek's independent certification, LG QNED Mini LED TVs have confirmed 100% color volume transmission. This means they are capable of displaying 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum in a three-dimensional color space spanning the TV's full brightness range. Simply put, this means that the colors remain bright and realistic no matter how bright or dark the display is.
LG QNED Mini LED provides proper color accuracy. Color matching is a measure of matching color rendition and brightness measured at an angle of ±30°. Thanks to 100% color matching, everything the user looks at on an LG QNED Mini LED TV will display with rich original colors even when viewed from a wide angle.
8K LG QNED Mini LED TVs feature a number of features. Thanks to Real 8K technology, LG QNED Mini LED does not miss a single detail even on the big screen. A display with a proper level of contrast modulation and approximately 33 million pixels (the higher the pixel density, the better the screen resolution) provides a decent level of image detail.
Processor LG QNED Mini LED based artificial intelligence on uses algorithms deep training to analyze viewed content and convert non-active 8K content into 8K immersive.
The built-in video decoder supports several types of codecs, including AV1 and HEVC, which allows 8K coverage for content with LG QNED Mini LED.
In addition, the LG QNED Mini LED TV can merge into the smart home ecosystem LG ThinQ.
2020: LG QNED Mini LED announcement
At the end of December 2020, LG Electronics introduced premium LCD TVs with a record number of backlight blackout zones. QNED TVs use Mini-LED technology.
The first QNED Mini LED TV will be presented at the CES 2021 virtual exhibition, which starts on January 11, and later another batch of 4K and 8K models up to 86 inches will be added to LG's product line.
According to LG, Mini-LED technology has made it possible to make a serious leap forward as an image of LCD TVs. The best LCD TVs currently use so-called local dimming, in which LEDs that are behind the matrix as backlight can be dimmed in groups, depending on the brightness of the image area.
The new QNED models include approximately 30,000 tiny LEDs that provide excellent peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1. LEDs are divided into 2,500 darkening zones. For comparison, in the latest TVs of LG's competitor, the Chinese company TCL, there are about 1,000 darkening zones. Other distinctive characteristics of LG QNED include 120 Hz screen frequency (movements on the screen are transmitted more smoothly and naturally), 4K/8K resolution, diagonal sizes up to 86 inches.
The technology used in the new model provides high quality HDR images with the highest contrast and deep black, as well as a rich color palette and color accuracy. According to LG, due to the realism of images that seem to go beyond the screen and arise in the user's space, it is not difficult to understand why LG QNED Mini LED can be called the best liquid crystal TV. Buyers will be able to choose between 4K and 8K versions: in the first case, the resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels, in the second - 7680 × 4320 pixels.[1]
