LNL-2210 ACS controller

Product
Developers: Lenel Systems
Date of the premiere of the system: December, 2010
Technology: ACS - Control and management systems for access

The LNL-2210 ACS controller is intended for access restriction through one door and expected service of one or two readers of ID cards. Innovation has the network Ethernet 10/100 Base-T interface, supports the OSDP protocol and can work as a part of an end-to-end system of security of Lenel OnGuard. Thanks to existence of a non-volatile memory on 6 MB, this controller can store information about 240,000 card owners of access and 50,000 events. Besides, the device is equipped with inputs for control of provision of a door and the button of a request for an exit and has additional exits for control of the lock and signal equipment of the ACS.

Information on 240,000 card owners of access and also configuration settings of LNL-2210 and the event log on 50,000 records which can be used, for example, for a time recording can be stored in memory of the Lenel network controller. For ensuring safety of information the standby accumulator which becomes more active in case of shutdown of power supply is installed in the body of the device. In addition to it, the controller is equipped a flash memory for an ACS software update.

The new Lenel controller allows to service up to 2 reader devices that gives the chance to carry out double-sided identification of visitors, both on an input, and at the exit. The device can work with readers of contact or proximity cards of access with the Wiegand or RS-485 interface of most of the famous producers. To them models treat with biometric identification of users, readers with a magnetic band, etc. For full use with readers of different LNL-2210 brands supports 8 different formats of cards.

Monitoring and remote control of the controller and the reader devices connected to it is performed on an Ethernet network (10/100 Base-T) via system interfaces of security of Lenel OnGuard using the first open OSDP standard (Open Supervised Device Protocol). In addition, through Ethernet the controller of access receives also power supply on PoE technology (Power over Ethernet). Such feed circuit of the device excludes need of laying of the additional power cable, reducing time for installation and the total cost of the equipment of access point.

For increase in security of access point in LNL-2210 the anti-passback mode (prohibition of repeated pass) which imposes restriction for pass by the ID card of the user who did not execute an exit is implemented. Also the Lenel controller is capable to provide a temporary ban of repeated pass and restriction of the maximum number of people in a zone. In the latter case at achievement of the set limit of visitors of a zone the controller blocks a door until any of personnel leaves a zone. This function is very convenient, for example, at access control on parking with limited number of places.

For physical regulation of pass through access point on an electronic payment of the Lenel controller two exits, one of which controls door contact (sealed-contact), and another — the button of a request for an exit (REX) are provided. At the same time the device is equipped with an exit for control of the lock and an exit of general purpose to which it is possible to connect any signal equipment, for example, a siren or the light signaling device. Also LNL-2210 has specially selected input for tamperny contact which is mounted in the Lenel controller body at installation, and in case of its unauthorized opening sends a disturbing signal to the server.
