2020: Announcement LV Shield - a protective mask against COVID-19 from Louis Vuitton

On September 12 the brand of Louis Vuitton provided a protective mask from COVID-19 coronavirus - LV Shield. The stylish, safe accessory will go on sale at the end of October, 2020.

Designers presented a protective LV Shield mask in the form of a hood which fastens to the head using an elastic thong. The mask is decorated not with bright parts and the monogram of Louis Vuitton. At hit on the protective screen of direct sunshine it changes color from transparent to dark, protecting as well from ultraviolet. Designers worked over that if desired the owner of an accessory could use it as a cap. It is known what LV Shield will be available for sale since October 30 in a number of boutiques Louis Vuitton worldwide. The cost of a product will be $960.

Released Louis Vuitton a protective mask from a coronavirus for $1000

In April, 2020 Louis Vuitton joined global efforts on production of individual protection equipment for support of health workers who most of all underwent risk of infection with a coronavirus.

The company stated that it reorientated several workshops across all France that "produce hundreds of thousands of non-surgical face packs" for health workers. The brand also reported that it offered thousands of hospital dressing gowns to six hospitals in Paris which urgently needed protective equipment.

Despite a variety of protective equipment specialists of the centers for control and prevention of diseases recommend not to replace traditional medical masks with similar products as the last are not capable to protect qualitatively from a virus and to prevent distribution of COVID-19.

Besides, in the Ministry of Health of Switzerland noted that in one of hotels in the Canton of Graubünden where COVID-19 center was detected, only those who used protective hoods caught. The same who used traditional masks on their statements, did not suffer.^[1]
