2025: Car Presentation

At the end of April 2025, AvtoVAZ first revealed the technical characteristics of the Lada e-Aura sedan, equipped with a fully electric power plant. The car is based on the Aura business model, which in turn is an elongated version of the Vesta.

According to Autonews.ru, the Lada e-Aura electric car is equipped with a 3-phase electric motor. Rated power is 82 horsepower, and the peak figure can reach 163 horsepower in the 20-second interval. The power plant provides a torque of 240 N·m. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8 seconds; the maximum speed is limited to around 150 km/h.

The lithium-ion battery pack is responsible for power supply. The cells of the traction battery themselves are produced in China, while its body, cooling and heating system, as well as control electronics are manufactured by the Russian company Itelma. The capacity of the batteries is 56 kilowatt-hours, the declared range on one charge reaches 350 km.

In terms of options, the electric sedan is identical to the traditional Lada Aura model with a gasoline engine. There is heating of all seats, steering wheel and windscreen, blind spot monitoring and course stability systems. The equipment includes an on-board infotainment complex with online services Yandex"" and navigation displayed on the instrument panel, eight speakers, LED optics, front and side airbags. There is a rear view camera with dynamic marking lines. The salon received a finish of genuine leather. Separate seats with side support are mentioned, between which there is a central console with an armrest. A wide doorway increases the convenience of boarding and disembarking passengers.[1]

2024: First photos of the car

In November 2024, AvtoVAZ demonstrated the first pre-production sample of the Lada e-Aura electric sedan. The new model, created on the elongated Lada Vesta platform, is distinguished by premium equipment and innovative technical solutions.

According to Za Rulem magazine, the electric car passed the first test tests with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Rostelecom President Mikhail Oseevsky, which made it possible to assess the design and equipment of the model.

The interior of the car is made using genuine leather in black and red colors. The front panel is equipped with a high-resolution digital instrument cluster. Central console accommodates rotary selector to control transmission and electronic parking brake.

The rear of the cabin is designed with an emphasis on passenger comfort. Separate seats with electrical adjustment of position, ventilation system and massage function are installed. The center console between the rear seats is equipped with four touch panels to control the climate system and multimedia functions.

The exterior of the electric version of the sedan differs from the base model with a special nameplate with the letter "e" and aerodynamic elements optimized to improve the range. The wheelbase is increased by 25 centimeters compared to the standard platform.

The manufacturer plans to disclose the technical characteristics of the power plant later. The representative of AvtoVAZ stressed that the company relies on previous experience in the development of electrified versions of Lada Vesta when creating a new model.

What does the Lada e-Aura electric car look like?

The basic version of the Lada Aura with the VAZ 1.8 Evo gasoline engine and the Chinese WLY variator is already entering dealerships. The cost of the car starts at ₽2,6 million.

The production program for 2024 provides for the production of 2 thousand copies of Lada Aura of all modifications. In the first two months of sales, priority will be given to corporate customers.[2]
