2020: Announcement of Lantheus aBSI - Software for control of the progressing prostate cancer
In the middle of November, 2020 Lantheus Holdings, Lantheus Medical Imaging parent company, released the software with support of artificial intelligence of aBSI for the automated osteoscintigraphy for the purpose of search of metastases of a prostate cancer.
In October, 2019 Lantheus signed the global license agreement with GE Healthcare about the rights to use the autonomous platform of osteoscintigraphy therefore new software can be used at the Xeleris workstation for nuclear medicine of GE Healthcare. According to the agreement GE Healthcare purchased the license for integration of software into the platform, except for the devices used in Japan while Lantheus will receive multilevel licensing fees for each sold license.
It is software allows to estimate and control quantitatively progressing of a disease at patients with the progressing prostate cancer. Xeleris aBSI automatically detects hot spots in the bones indicating metastases but also, includes support system of crucial clinical solutions that will help doctors quickly and to effectively appoint diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
