Ledas Geometry Comparison (LGC) is technology for determination of differences between three-dimensional models and assemblies, grouping and representations of these distinctions by method, user-friendly.
Ledas Geometry Comparison helps to compare separate 3D models and the assemblies made of them. The result of comparison of LGC represents by method, clear for the user, specifying groups of different edges. Besides, the LGC technology compares each other identical edges of two models, recovering associativity and allowing it is easy to transfer from one model to the other information connected with edges: attributes, parameters, assembly restrictions and so forth. If provision of one of models was changed by shift or turn, LGC returns models in identical provision, and carries out more correct comparison of geometry in this provision.
The LGC technology does not depend on the specific 3D format of data. At the moment LGC supports the main independent formats of data of CAD, such as STEP and IGES and also some closed formats of these popular CAD and geometrical cores. The code of technology cross-platform, for loading distribution kits are available to Windows and Linux in 32-and 64-bit versions. The opportunity of use of parallel versions of LGC on the basis of the MPI interface which best of all will be suitable for use of technology in a cloud is optionally given.
At automatic testing of the code generating 3D models (SAPRY, converters, geometrical cores, etc.) LGC allows to define - in what test models there were changes as far as they are significant.

2015: There was a release of Ledas Geometry Comparison 3.0
On April 17, 2015 the Ledas company declared a release of the third version of the Ledas Geometry Comparison (LGC) technology. The release of LGC 3.0 is devoted to effective processing of large volumes 3D-this[1].
In the version of LGC 3.0 search of models with identical geometry and topology is implemented even if these models are displaced or unrolled on the relation to each other. Effective processing of big sets of models is based on the algorithms of indexation developed by Ledas company. It provides, in particular, fast identification of 3D models and removal of excess copies from bases and libraries of models.
"We aim to make processing of large volumes of data of a CAD so fast as far as it is possible" — Nikolay Snytnikov, the project manager of LGC told. — It is especially important in the systems of the class PDM which operate with a set of files, and many of them are audits of the same models. Our technology also allows to recover structure of the imported assemblies using determination of coinciding components and an exception of duplicative geometrical data".
"Enters with an exit of new release, LGC on the market of the systems of three-dimensional search" — Alexey Yershov, the CEO LEDASA emphasized. — We began with types, simple, but most useful in practice, 3D - search. At the same time we have necessary competence to implement more difficult search algorithms based on specific requests of our potential buyers".
