2025: S3 Object Storage Launch
Linx Cloud on September 10, 025 announced the launch of S3 object storage based on its own data centers, with the ability to access both the Internet and a dedicated point-to-point channel. The solution expanded the company's cloud services portfolio.
Linx Cloud object storage is designed to store unstructured data. The service is used in all sectors of the economy, where companies accumulate large amounts of data: financial, production, retail companies, IT and media, as well as others. The most common ways to use the service include storing media files, backups, distributing static content, exchanging files between different services and applications.
The service is provided according to the pay-as-you-go model (payment for actual consumption), when only the occupied storage volume and outgoing traffic are paid, which allows you to optimize customer costs. There is also a charging option without additional costs for outgoing traffic. Such a tariff is provided for customers who cannot predict the service usage profile in advance.
The object storage infrastructure is located in the native Linx Datacenter level Tier III data center, built and administered by the team. provider This allows Linx to be fully responsible for the performance and development of the service and guarantee a high level of availability with - SLA 99.99%.
One of the distinctive characteristics of the service is the ability to organize access to object storage via a point-to-point channel, for example, from the office or data center of the client, which reduces dependence on public networks and guarantees reliability and security.
The service provides the option of storing objects without the possibility of change (object lock or WORM), which is used as one of the measures to protect against ransomware viruses, and is also relevant during external audits as a guarantee that the data remains unchanged until the end of the audit.
| Against the backdrop of stable data growth, our customers need a cost-effective and easily scalable storage solution. At the same time, we often see a requirement to organize an Internet independent channel for accessing the service, and therefore implemented such a solution. Our plans for the development of the service include: adding additional storage profiles, scaling, integration with other Linx Cloud services, such as Kubernetes as a service and DBaaS, - said Evgeny Makaryin, head of product development at Linx Cloud. |
