LogistiX: Pick-by-Light

Pick-by-Light is the addition to the WMS systems, for process automation of a complete set and sorting of loads using light indication.

On February 12, 2015 the LogistiX company presented the domestic solution Pick-by-Light which together with WMS helps to automate a complete set and sorting of loads by means of light indication.

The solution is applied on sections where it is necessary to provide the high accuracy and performance of execution of transactions. The low power consumption allows to use a system, both on stationary rack constructions, and on multilevel carts for complex selection of several orders.

By means of the open program interface of data exchange integration with any information systems, including WMS from different vendors is provided.

"The international practice shows that this technology is widely and effectively used on sections of small-pieces selection where shelf racks or the systems of boxed gravitation are installed. The solution allows to accelerate considerably selection process of orders and to minimize number of the mistakes made by personnel. In practice, it is possible to reach the speed of a complete set of 200 lines per hour (at a line in 3-5 pieces) and to provide the accuracy of 99.95%. Despite high activity of foreign producers in this market, we developed a domestic product, having used for this purpose modern element base and the long-term practices in information technology field", - Dmitry Blinov, the technical director of LogistiX noted.
