2023: Product Announcement
In early August 2023, the American company Luminelle announced the development of a set of endoscopic tools that allow doctors to conduct gynecological procedures under visual control. The system gives doctors the ability to visualize the biopsy process without the need for additional devices.
Uterine biopsy may be required to determine endocrine diseases and causes of infertility, in inflammatory and pre-neoplastic conditions. Usually this procedure is carried out blindly - without visual control at all. This leads to suboptimal results and often provokes the need to perform a repeat procedure, since the first attempt did not give the desired sample. Meanwhile, abnormal uterine bleeding affects about one-third of women every year. This is a primary symptom and an early sign of uterine disease or the development of a malignant formation. The Luminelle platform improves biopsy performance.
The complex includes the Luminelle Sustain system and the Luminelle Bx device. The solution is designed to allow clinicians to visualize the biopsy process and thereby reduce the likelihood of a repeat procedure. The built-in backlit camera automatically adjusts surveillance settings such as image focus, light intensity, and exposure to improve quality.
The patented platform is a comprehensive endoscopic solution for medical offices, incorporating a reusable thin endoscope and a Luminelle Control Hub with intelligent control technology. The system allows physicians to perform uterine and urological procedures with HD imaging. At the same time, there is no need to use bulky and expensive equipment.[1]
