2023: Market Entry

On August 22, 2023, Levita Magnetics announced the release of the MARS robotic surgical platform - it replaces doctors with assistants on operations.

The system is focused on the mass market of abdominal surgery, the purpose of which is to treat diseases and injuries of organs and walls of the abdominal cavity. According to the developers, the medical institutions and outpatient centers that will implement this platform will benefit from increasing efficiency and reducing the burden on operating room employees.

MARS от Levita Magnetics

The operation of the MARS complex is based on the use of magnets. During operations, a special device is inserted into the patient and monitored through the abdominal wall using an external magnet. The use of the system reduces the number of incisions and allows surgeons to fully control the course of laparoscopic procedures. The platform is compact in size and suitable for existing operating rooms. The use of a robotic arm helps to carry out retraction of large tissues and organs, including the prostate and colon.

Thanks to the use of MARS, less invasive operations with smaller incisions can be performed. This makes it possible to reduce the length of rehabilitation of patients, reduce the level of their discomfort and reduce postoperative scars. Health facilities, in turn, are able to reduce the need for support staff. In addition, clinics will be able to offer a differentiated approach to treating patients.
