2019: Announcement
At the end of February, 2019 the Bayer HealthCare company provided a system for introduction of KT-contrast of MEDRAD Centargo on the European congress of radiologists. This addition to a line of devices for image processing was developed for automation and optimization of workflows at KT that allows specialists to find more time for patients.
The department of radiological research and development of Bayer worked on Centargo in cooperation with the practicing radiologists to provide a system which would meet all requirements of modern diagnostic departments. According to developers, Centargo ensures smooth operation thanks to automatic adjustment and fast switching between patients.
Key features of MEDRAD Centargo include the daily setup borrowing the device less than 2 minutes and also the data recording module which switches between patients less than in 20 seconds. The additional touch screen allows employees to be near the patient, and the built-in reader of a barcode replaces manual entry of data and provides easy tracking and access to the detailed description of process and the entered contrast.
The special piston Centargo technology and regulators of temperature for reservoirs with contrast were developed for ensuring high-quality fluid supply even when carrying out protocols with the most strict requirements. The system of detection of air on an input and an exit, in addition to automatic removal of air from reservoirs, prevents its introduction. The automated algorithms allow to calculate individual doses and the mode of introduction of contrast, providing high-quality and safe visualization. Besides, the device receives accumulator supply and has the built-in Wi-Fi that provides its mobility.
Certification of the new device is expected in the summer of 2019.[1]
