MIC: Adapter of networks of clusters

The adapter of networks of clusters - the network adapter intended for connection of computing clusters.

On April 14, 2016 United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation provided the network adapter with the self-produced microcontroller intended for connection of computing clusters^[1].

The main scope of the adapter — high-speed networks for the supercomputers and clusters intended for military and civil use:

• analysts,

forecast of the different phenomena and events (including meteorological situation, development of emergencies and fighting),

• modeling of start of space objects,
• calculation of trajectories of flights of rockets and other ammunition.

The network adapter is a payment with the PCI Express interface h16, equipped with the superlarge scale integrated circuit. It contains about 180 million transistors, works at frequency of 500 MHz, supports a kernel of Linux and means of parallel programming.

For contact with other devices Samtec HDLSP connectors are provided (to eight connections). Developers did not report supported by the adapter what data transfer rate.

GSI is developed by Moscow "Research Center of Electronic, ADP Equipment" (RCE,AE). It is made by Taiwanese company of TSMC on technology of 65 nanometers. The NICEVT makes a payment of the network adapter on own production.
