2023: Product Announcement
The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) has developed a medical device that combines the functions of eight diagnostic devices. The apparatus, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in July 2023, combines the functions:
- heart rate monitor;
- oximeter;
- stethoscope;
- an otoscope;
- tonometer;
- glucometer;
- thermometer;
- electrocardiograph.
According to the developers, the device will allow measuring vital functions during face-to-face and online medical appointments, as well as recording and visualizing the indicators being taken. The device has a small size - 10 by 20 cm.
Such a device is needed primarily by medical companies. Now doctors write down data and fill out questionnaires [on the computer] manually, which is inconvenient. Individuals interested in constant monitoring of indicators also need a single device instead of a large number of different devices, "said project manager Philip Malakhov. |
The creators of the technology became participants in one of the acceleration programs launched in Russia as part of the federal project "Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship." The accelerator operator is the NTI Platform.[1]
The federal project "Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship" is a set of measures to include representatives of the university community in entrepreneurial activities in the framework of achieving the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, to increase the country's entrepreneurial potential, as well as to ensure the participation of educational organizations of higher education in the socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
