2022: Completion of Flownex SE localization process

Modeling and Digital Twins JSC (MCD JSC), a major supplier of domestic and foreign engineering solutions, announced on July 12, 2022 the completion of the process of localization of Flownex SE - an environment for system modeling and analysis of complex hydraulic systems. Now users will have access to the wide calculation capabilities of Flownex SE in the updated interface in Russian.

Flownex SE is used to model one-dimensional flows and heat exchange in complex hydraulic, pneumatic, as well as electrical and mechanical systems with the construction of a block diagram of typical components. The system makes it possible to simulate stationary and non-stationary currents, fluid flows gases and taking into account heat exchange, to conduct sensitivity analysis and parametric studies, and much more. Flownex SE complies with the 9001:2008 quality standard ISO and the NQA1 nuclear safety standard, allowing simulation of hydraulic and thermal processes in nuclear reactors. ON Flownex SE is used in such industries as,,,, and. power mining oil and gas space industry turbomachine engineering 

Experts of MCD JSC began work on localization several years ago, working closely with the developer, MTI (South Africa), and gradually adding translations of different elements of the graphical interface as updated versions of Flownex appear. Although the current localization is created for the latest version of Flownex SE 2022, it can also be installed on previous versions. Despite the fact that in previous versions the localization level will not take into account all changes to the graphical interface of the latest version, it will allow you to use the Russified environment as comfortably as possible for everyday calculations in Flownex. Localization will give users the opportunity to shorten the period of mastering the program, as well as significantly expand the possibilities of effective use of the software, extending them to all Russian-speaking specialists without exception.

The work on localizing the interface, which my colleagues and I have been doing over the past years, has become a serious project. Its results will allow you to present this powerful solution in a different way on the Russian engineering software market, removing all the language barriers to its use. In addition, Flownex is actively used to create digital twins in their ecosystem, and the localization of the interface opens up a number of opportunities for business development in this direction. In the current version, localization is installed separately with the addition of files to the Flownex installation folder, however, from the next version, the graphical interface in Russian will fully enter the Flownex distribution kit on an ongoing basis.
