2024: Introduction of generative AI
On September 4, 2024, MTS announced the introduction of the large language model (LLM) MTS AI in Front Platform - the company's internal platform, which will now allow developing sites and mobile applications using generative artificial intelligence. This will significantly speed up the creation of new products, since the transition from traditional phased development to configuring the parameters of ready-made templates will reduce the time to launch new solutions.
According to the MTS press service, Front Platform is part of The Platform, a large design platform that provides low code tools for quickly launching projects using server-driven UI (SDUI). Integration with various APIs allows you to use ready-made services and solutions in new projects. As a result of business process automation, the load on IT teams is reduced by 30%. Artificial intelligence built into the platform generates scaffolds of sites and mobile applications based on text descriptions, which greatly simplifies the work of developers. At the same time, testing and control remain on the shoulders of analysts, testers and product managers.
The main challenge for SDUI solutions is the complexity of controlling the interface while increasing the number of design components. However, the LLM model integrated into the Front Platform solves this problem by generating interfaces in full compliance with the company's brand book. Artificial intelligence not only optimizes interfaces, but also reduces the cost of attracting frontend developers, which makes the platform more economically profitable for business.
Large language models accelerate business. We have already partially transferred the development to generative artificial intelligence, freeing programmers for complex and interesting tasks. The launch of our own LLM on our key internal platform reduces the entry threshold, makes the system more convenient and understandable for all MTS employees, - said Pavel Voronin, First Vice President for MTS Technologies. |
