PJSC, a digital MTS ecosystem, on April 12, 2024 announced the launch of the SmartDocs service. This solution will increase the efficiency of MTS internal processes tenfold due to its use artificial intelligence in processing corporate documents.

SmartDocs is a service of MTS own development for working with documents based on AI. It recognizes and classifies texts and documents, extracts technical parameters, distinguishes the essence from a large amount of information, rewrites texts without losing meaning, or prepares a short summary of the document. In addition, the style alignment, automatic tagging, and text tone analysis functions are tested. The accuracy of recognition of images and handwritten, typewritten or printed text reaches 95%, which minimizes errors.

In the first quarter of 2024 alone, more than 2.5 million documents were processed using SmartDocs. The solution was used in the PID to classify and extract the product characteristics of the tender documentation, as a result of which the labor intensity of processing this type of documents was more than halved. Since the beginning of 2024, SmartDocs has been used in MTS to automatically take into account key parameters when processing contracts. This made it possible to reduce the duration of the procurement cycle by an average of 10 days. Until the end of 2024, thousands of MTS employees will use the service in their daily work.

Creation of own technological platforms for automation is a priority for PIDs. We strive to ensure that all corporate processes critical to the business function on the basis of our own, import-substituted solutions. SmartDocs is the next step in this direction, - commented Pavel Voronin, First Vice President for MTS Technologies.

In the future, individual services implemented on the basis of SmartDocs can be used not only in MTS products, but also in the foreign market.
